Mobile's covers the second-most U.S. territory with their 4G
network behind Verizon and within 1% of AT&T. Here's how the nationwide carrier coverage scores break down percentage-wise.
#2: T-Mobile: 59% 4G coverage.
| Network | % 3G Coverage | % 4G Coverage |

| Verizon | 62.36 | 69.62 |
| T-Mobile | 21.64 | 58.8 |
| Sprint | 25.6 | 26.89 |
AT&T has the “nation's best network” according to a study released Wednesday by Virginia-based Global Wireless Solutions, an independent testing firm. Verizon was the runner-up, followed by would-be merger partners T-Mobile and Sprint.
In the head-to-head competition, AT&T, with a speed score of 32.91, had the fastest network among the four major wireless carriers. T-Mobile came in second with a score of 30.94 and Verizon was third with 29.45. Sprint's 28.15 speed score put the carrier in fourth place.
Without question, Verizon's 4G LTE network has the best coverage, with 70% nationwide coverage, followed by T-Mobile with 59%, AT&T with 58%, and Sprint with 27%. Because of Verizon's robust network coverage, Let's Talk ranks Verizon as the winner, with the most coast-to-coast coverage.
In its latest report chronicling US wireless network performance during the first half of 2019, Ookla found that AT&T's 4G LTE network -- err, "5GE" -- was the fastest 4G network in the US, though all four networks showed marked improvements during the period. T-Mobile was second, followed by Sprint and Verizon.
AT&T doesn't claim to have the biggest LTE network, but it does claim to have the biggest "4G" network - a network that includes two cellular technologies: LTE and HSPA+, which now overlays its older nation-wide 3G network.

AT&T announced today that it's agreed to acquire T-Mobile US from Deutsche Telekom, a merger which, if completed, will make it by far the country's biggest wireless phone company. It'll also leave us with three national carriers: AT&T, archrival Verizon Wireless, and the much smaller Sprint.

Spectrum Mobile is an MVNO on the Verizon Wireless Network, which is owned by Spectrum, one of the nation's largest internet service providers. Spectrum also uses a nationwide network of Wi-Fi hotspots to supplement the Verizon cellular network.

Someone at Best Buy thought that Mobile Nation uses the Verizon towers.
MVNOs all run on one or more of the big networks: Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, or AT&T. The biggest AT&T MVNO is undoubtedly Cricket Wireless, itself a wholly own subsidiary of that company. The AT&T network is also home to TracFone, another major player, along with its associated brands, Straight Talk and Net10.

T-Mobile lays claim to the second-best network and coverage in the U.S., narrowly beating out third place AT&T. Neither AT&T nor T-Mobile is the cheapest, but both offer a nice selection of feature-packed plans—especially unlimited data plans.
Sprint specializes in low-cost prices with the catch that you get a less reliable network. T-Mobile, on the other hand, is an upper-tier wireless provider that will cost you more every month but returns the favor with fast data speeds and stronger coverage.

There are four major operators in the United States that offer nationwide wireless services. Two of these (AT&T and T-Mobile) provide service using the GSM standard, while the other two (Verizon and Sprint) primarily use CDMA.
Verizon or AT&T? Overall, Verizon is the better of the two. At present, you'll get faster speeds most of the time and better service coverage. But, AT&T has them beat on price and perks, with coverage that's only a little bit under Verizon's performance – so it's a close call.
Sprint's biggest selling point is its plan prices—especially for unlimited text and data. If you live in an area where Sprint offers good coverage (say, a city), then it's a great way to get an A-level plan for B-level pricing. The more expensive plans offer better streaming quality, more hotspot data, and other perks.
T-Mobile offers cheaper unlimited plans than Verizon at every tier of service. If you're looking for a non-unlimited data plan, then Verizon is actually better (we would also recommend these plans). T-Mobile gives you unlimited text and data in most countries. You also get free in-flight texting and Wi-Fi.
And the overall winner: Both Samsung and Apple make great phones. If you prefer Android, for example, go with Samsung. If the convenience of Face ID matters more to you, then buy Apple. These phones will all serve your needs, and major apps will run on both Android and iOS.

Sprint manages to be one of the most promising 5G players with their sub-6 5G network deployed on their extra spectrum at 2.5Ghz. Sprint also runs some of its LTE coverage at this frequency meaning that Sprint has a pretty good idea of what kind of signal people can get.
