Create a new album
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app .

Show photos on a TV with Chromecast
- Open the Google Photos app .
- At the top right, tap Cast .

Turn back up & sync on or off

5 Answers. Most apps on android are safe to disable, however some can have some pretty bad side effects. This however depends on what your needs are. To answer your question, yes, it is safe to disable your apps, and even if it did cause issues with other apps, you can just re-enable them.
Welcome to Android Central! So did you set your Google Photos app to be the default gallery app instead? If so, go to Settings>Apps, select Google Photos, tap Defaults, and clear the default. The next time you want to open an image, it should then ask you which app to complete the action.
How to disable Android apps
- Go to Settings > Apps and scroll over to the All tab for a complete list of your apps.
- If you want to disable an app simply tap on it and then tap Disable.
- Once disabled, these apps won't appear in your primary apps list, so it's a good way to clean your list up.
Not sure if it is a good idea to delete. Some of the phone's core functions are updated through this App Store. Yes it's a Samsung exclusive app store and some of the Samsung apps update via the Galaxy app store. You can disable it with no ill effect to your device.

Simply go to favorite file manager and find the folder containing . nomedia file. When you have found the file, delete it from the folder or you can simply rename the file to any name you like. Then restart your Android device and here you should find your missing pictures in your Android gallery.
