The War Pikes provide some quick hitting Piercing attacks and long-range opportunities to sever Behemoths parts. This is a weapon that offers both speed and range, also fast and fluid combos capable of wounding a Behemoth to open it up for massive damage.
Unfortunately, the Chain Blades can't deal any wound or stagger damage, and it can't 'boop' behemoths - which prevents it from being an S Tier weapon.
How to Stagger in Dauntless. Staggering can be done with any weapon type with modifications, but Hammers, and to a lesser extent Axes, can stagger right out of the box. You can tell you're doing Stagger damage by the blue-colored numbers when you're hitting Behemoths.

Without it, the repeaters are a lackluster weapon choice, but you'll notice your DPS increases drastically when you do have it. This is the other reason that you should treat the Ostian Repeaters more like shotguns; if you stay in close range, you can constantly remain empowered.
By default, the Repeaters will not be able to boop Behemoths, and requires +6 Weighted Strikes perk to boop. Use your Ballistic Chamber ability to boop enemies.

Wound damage will create wounded points on a Behemoth's body where part damage can be dealt (i.e. legs, tail, and head), regardless of break status. This damage type is indicated by red numbers and does not affect the Behemoth's basic health pool.

+1 Knockout King cells are obtained from opening Cores or purchased from The Middleman when available; higher levels of cell can be made though fusing at The Middleman.
OverpowerOverpower adds the highest percentage increase of all Power cells at 70% increased damage against Behemoths at +6. Since there's almost always a stagger opportunity, this cell is great for damage focused builds.
In order to stagger a Behemoth, you have to deal stagger damage to it. Stagger damage is a type of damage that occurs with certain mods or weapons and it comes up in blue instead of the usual colour. While you can mod a weapon you like to deal stagger damage, your best bet is to go with the Hammer.

- Drask Armour. The Drask armour set is great if you want to keep moving and deal damage.
- Rezakiri Armour. The Rezakiri armour has high offensive capabilities.
- Hellion Armour. The Helion set is great for players who use slower weapons.
- Shrowd Armour.
- Riftstalker Armour.

The Hammer in Dauntless is one of the most complex weapons but also one of the most rewarding. Much like the Axe is another one of the game's heavy hitting powerhouse weapons. Half hammer and half barrel. Use the hammer to pulverize bones and scales, and then end the massacre with an ethereal explosion.
Exotics are weapons and armour that are unique in their functions and abilities. Unlike regular weapons and armour, they do not carry a built-in perk. They were made obtainable again as of update 1.6.5. They are unlocked by finding lore nodes hidden in the isles.
You'll need to visit the Weaponsmith in Ramsgate to craft weapons with different crafting materials. To get new weapons in Dauntless you're gonna need to head to the Weaponsmith and you'll need to have the necessary crafting ingredients to craft it.
You'll receive your quest to unlock the Aether Strikers after progressing the Dauntless story to the “City on the Verge†quest. Upon completing it you'll be able to craft a variety of different strikers based on the Behemoths you've unlocked so far.
