Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) is one of the best things that Disney does. But it costs a lot of money. It starts at $85 per ticket plus tax! That's a lot of money for just a few hours in the park.
Weekends in October at Disneyland are crowded. Very crowded. Halloween Time has become one of the busiest times of the year at the parks, swelling attendance levels to rival those of the holiday season on some days. On top of all that, the Mickey's Halloween Party special event takes place on Friday nights in October.

November Travel Tips
During the first half of November, Disneyland is busy on weekends, but uncrowded during the week. Many visitors like to go during that time of the month to see the holiday decorations and enjoy the nice weather. During Thanksgiving week, the parks will be swamped.1. When is Halloween Time at Disneyland 2019? Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort takes place September 6 - October 31, 2019. It is earlier than ever before and we are so excited.
While the Disney Halloween party officially starts at 7 p.m., guests can begin entering the park as early as 4 p.m. (And yes, you can wear your costumes into the park at that time!) We highly recommend you get to the park early, so you can spend as much time in Magic Kingdom as possible.
On nights with an Oogie Boogie Party, the ride closes at 3 p.m. and reopens at 4 p.m. On all other nights, the ride shuts down at 4 p.m. and reopens at 5 p.m. The FASTPASS will still say Guardians of the Galaxy, but if it is for after 4 or 5 p.m. (depending on the night), it's for the Monsters after Dark version.
Layers always work best. Make the innermost layer one that you'd be comfortable in if it's a little hotter than the forecasted high. Also, bring sunscreen and a change of socks for the day. And, of course, wear walking shoes.

How much: Tickets start at $100 for annual passholders and $110 for the general public. The highest-priced tickets ($145) are for Sundays in October as well as the week of Halloween. It's pretty magical, typically the next morning after the last party we find just about all the Halloween decor is gone.
Mickey's Halloween Party usually sells out every single night of the event. Note that even when every Mickey's Halloween Party at Disneyland is sold out online, it is possible that you could have luck by calling. (Here's the phone number: (714) 781-4636.)
General Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Costume Guidelines: Disney may deny admission to anyone or remove anyone who is wearing attire that is considered inappropriate or could detract from other guests' experiences. Guests may dress as their favorite characters, but cannot pose for pictures or sign autographs.
Each Disney theme park celebrates Halloween in its own way. In Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, special decorations can be found throughout the park. And an after hours, separately ticketed Halloween-themed event takes place every few nights in September and October.

The park is famously open 365 days a year - yes, even on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day - but it has shut down completely on three different occasions (I'm not talking about days when parts of the park were closed, but rather days when the whole shebang was shuttered).
Disneyland's October Hours
All of Disneyland closes early on days when Mickey's Halloween Party is being held. Friday through Sunday: Open 14 to 16 hours per day. Expect weekend hours on Columbus Day (Indigenous Peoples' Day) which is the second Monday of the month.Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a Special Event which means that it requires a separate ticket to attend. While you do need a special ticket, you do NOT need a regular theme park ticket to attend. In fact, you won't be able to gain access to the party with a regular park pass.
