validity and balance. Each time you add top up credit, you will also get additional
validity days.
USSD method to Extend your SIM's validity
- Press : *113*30*9# for 30 days extension.
- Press : *113*60*9# for 60 days extension.
- Press : *113*90*9# for 90 days extension.
This means that Airtel's customers have to recharge for at least Rs 45 instead of Rs 23 for a validity period of 28 days and therefore the customers will have to shell out at least Rs 22 more per month .
In case you wish to use your Airtel prepaid number, then Rs 45 has now become the minimum recharge for 28 days. In case you don't recharge with Rs 45 or higher plans, then the outgoing will be immediately barred, followed by incoming calls ban after grace period of 15 days.
How to Reactivate your Deactivated Airtel Number
- Try to request re-activation via email to 121@in.airtel.com or customer care.
- Visit nearest airtel store and submit reactivation request.
- Provide Address and Photo Id proofs.
- You may receive a confirmation call and then your number will be re-activated.
It will automatically get activated after your current plans validity gets exhausted. So if you are a prime subscriber, even if you recharge with new plan before due date it will be in stored and available form.
Telecom operator Bharti Airtel on Sunday hiked its mandatory minimum recharge for pre-paid customers to Rs 45 from Rs 23. "it will be mandatory to recharge with a voucher of Rs 45 or above, every 28 days to avail services," the company said in a public notice.
How to check Airtel data balance via USSD Code?

How to Reactivate an Old SIM Card
- Remove the SIM card from the handset.
- Write down the numbers that are printed on the SIM card.
- Contact your wireless provider to activate your SIM card.
- Give the IMEI number and SIM card number to your customer service agent.
- Put the SIM card back into your phone and replace the battery and cover.
If you don't recharge your Vodafone or Airtel number with any of the minimum recharge plans, your outgoing calls will be blocked after 30 days. Not only outgoing, but the incoming calls will be blocked as well, in 45 days.
Telecom Talk reports that Airtel has revised its incoming voice call validity for prepaid users without an active plan. If an Airtel user fails to recharge upon expiry of validity, and is not on any active plan, outgoing calls would immediately be barred and the income calls will stop after seven days.
If your sim card is not yet deactivated then you can continue both outgoing and incoming services by just recharging your Airtel number with a minimum recharge plan. I saw that the minimum amount they say you should recharge with is Rs35 but I tried it 2 times and both times my recharge failed.
Services to the SIM card will be discontinued if there is no usage, i.e. no Voice / Video call (Outgoing or Incoming) or an outgoing SMS or a Data session or usage of Value Added Services for a continuous period of 90 days.
Vodafone also notes that upon the end of validity, if the user fails to recharge, it will check if the user has sufficient balance, and deduct Rs. 24 to extend the validity by 28 days more.
The new talk time recharges will come handy when making outgoing calls from non-unlimited plans. The balance you get from the top-up recharge will be valid for lifetime, but outgoing will only be valid for 28 days. You will then be able to make outgoing calls for another 28 days.
For the unversed, service validity is a key for users as it allows them to make use of the existing talk time balance in their account. Whereas, in the absence of service validity benefit, users will face suspension of incoming voice calling facility after 15 days of their pack's expiry.
All-rounder prepaid plans such as this Rs 95 one are basically minimum recharge plans that are used to extend validity. Many users buy such plans when they want to keep their numbers active without paying for any combo plan. Other all-rounder packs apart from the Rs 95 one are Rs 39, Rs 49 and Rs 79 ones.
The 28 day validity stands for outgoing calls whereas Airtel offers unlimited validity for incoming calls on the both the packs.
