It's in the HoS DLC and you buy them from a lady when you're at the auction house.
Yeah, most realistic armor comes from the non-witcher stuff. Although, if you wanna talk realism, look at the swords of the witcher games. All of them are proportionally and historically accurate, with about 100% of them seemingly being replicas of real life swords. Only the steel swords, though.
As for the armor as it is the only upgrade you get until near the end of the game it is advisable to get it as soon as you can. If you clean out chapter 1 in terms of quests and loots you should have enough orens to buy it at the start of chapter 2 after the initial quest there.
The armor gives you a nice boost on both critical damage chance and bonus. So no need to worry about you damage out put (DPS) falling behind. Since the armor is medium you can get the skill griffin school techniques which raise stamina regeneration and sign intensity significantly.
I mean, has none of them found Gesheft? This sword has 90% more damage than Aerondight AND it gives an increase of 20% of all signs whereas Aerondight only give a 10% damage bonus with every charge, and the bonus doesn't even stay.
Wolf gear is good for everything, including melee damage. I used it, with most of my points in red skills. Grandmaster Bear suits Quen use and looks better, too. It also concentrates on boosting Adrenaline gain if you have a build that uses it.
Wake up a second time and head through the only exit. You'll find yourself in a cavern with abandoned ruins and waterfalls. Drop down and examine the waterfall flowing upward. Nearby the waterfall is a note left by a mage.
The Tesham Mutna Armor is another intriguing and rare armor set introduced into the Blood and Wine DLC. It's one of the best armors in the game and one of the coolest-looking. It sort of makes Geralt look like a deadly assassin and it provides plated protection to keep him safe.
Kaer Morhen Armor is Geralt's starting chest armor in The Witcher 3. It is also a piece of Witcher Gear, and is upgradeable through Crafting.
While Developer CD Projekt Red hasn't outright confirmed that there will ever be a Witcher 4, it certainly hasn't been ruled out completely. In an interview with Eurogamer back in May 2016, CD Projekt Red co-founder, Marcin Iwinski, said the team “didn't have anything planned” when it came to the next Witcher game.
To obtain the Scavenger Hunt: Grandmaster Wolven Gear quest you'll need to speak with the Grandmaster Smith, who can be found just south of Gran Place in Toussaint. This location can only be visited in the Blood and Wine DLC, so you won't be able to acquire this armor until much later int he story.
You can sell your Glyphs and Armors to the Armorer on Heirarch Square inside Novigrad. This armorer will give you the best price when selling your Armors and Glyphs.
The best armor has to be from the "What Lies Unseen" quest, including the 700+ attack sword that's there too. It's a red armor set with red mask that gives a great bonus for wearing a complete set..
Manticore Gear is Grandmaster quality, and thus can only be crafted by a Grandmaster craftsman. Luckily, you can find one in Beauclair. Look for Lazare Lafargue's Workshop near the center of Beauclair. Agree to help Lafargue with a side quest that will allow him to craft your Witcher armor.
Nope, keep the money. The armor looks very cool (among the coolest in the game, IMO) and it's good for the first few hours of the game, but it simply costs too much for what it's worth. And once you start collecting the various witcher armor sets, you'll never need to buy/use any other gear.
The Aerondight sword can be obtained by completing the Blood and Wine secondary quest titled There Can Only Be One. Begin this quest either by taking its notice from the notice boards in Toussaint, or by speaking to the Hermit at the lake west of Corvo Bianco.
Witcher gear is almost always better based on the fact it upgrades with you. Saying that some pieces can be replaced. I use Assassin gauntlets relic instead of Witcher gear. Witcher stuff does only level so far where as relics can be found at all different levels.
Mastercrafted Cat Gear is one of the best light armor sets in the game – it massively improves stamina regeneration, adrenaline point generation and provides an immense increase in attack power. Level 31 is required to wear the armor, while the swords' wielder needs to be level 30.
Hen Gaidth armor set is a special type of heavy armor introduced in the Blood and Wine expansion. All the parts (including a sword and mask) can only be acquired during the quest What Lies Unseen while inside the Unseen Elder's lair. When wearing more than one piece of the set, a bonus is given.
Mastercrafted Feline Gear and Armor locationsYou'll find the chest tucked away in a small opening as you go up. Head to Harviken on the southeast island of Skellige. Head east of this place and you'll find a cave entrance. Break the wall with Aard and go inside to find the diagram in the right-hand chest within.
