Offense. In particular, Rock pairs well with Ground, since very few Pokémon naturally resist this combination. Most Rock-types can learn Earthquake to this end.
because water has an incredibly high heat capacity (which determines how easily its temperature rises or falls) such that ice entering water is almost guaranteed to melt unless constant cooling is applied.
Rocks can't do much damage to fighters, rocks won't hurt the ground, rocks won't harm metal, but rocks can hurt water. This makes no sense. When you throw a rock in the water, the rock will sink and eventually wear away. Also, why doesn't Grass resist Rock?
In defense against other monsters, Steel-types are completely immune to Poison-types; are minimally affected by Normal, Grass, Ice, Flying, Psychic, Bug, Rock, Dragon and Fairy-types; and are greatly affected by trainers wielding Fire, Fighting and Ground-type Pokémon.
Ground PokémonThere are 80 Ground-type Pokémon.
The Ground type (Japanese: ã˜ã‚んタイプ Ground type) is one of the eighteen types. Prior to changes in Generation IV, all damaging Ground-type moves were physical, but they may now also be special depending on the attack.
Fighting moves are super-effective against five other types (as is Ground), making them very good offensively. Most Fighting type moves are in the Physical category, for obvious reasons.
List of Ground-type moves
| Name | Generation | Power |
|---|
| Drill Run | Generation V | 80 |
| Earth Power | Generation IV | 90 |
| Earthquake | Generation I | 100 |
| Fissure | Generation I | K.O. in one hit |
Fairy type Pokemon have just two weaknesses: steel and poison types. Alongside that, are three types that resist fairy attacks, with those being poison, steel, and fire.
Dark-type attacks are resisted by Fighting, Dark, and Fairy, so using them along with Fairy attacks will optimize neutral coverage.
Normal/Steel, Electric/Steel, and Ghost/Steel are tied for the most resistances, having 12 resistances each, although there are currently no Pokémon with the combination of Normal/Steel. Steel-type Pokémon, on average, have the highest physical Defense among all Pokémon and among fully evolved Pokémon.
Structural steel buildings perform well when exposed to fire. Steel is a durable, noncombustible, fire-resistant material. When properly designed and constructed, steel framing can preserve its structural integrity in the event of a fire and exposure to prolonged elevated temperatures.
Dragonair (Japanese: ãƒã‚¯ãƒªãƒ¥ãƒ¼ Hakuryu) is a Dragon-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It evolves from Dratini starting at level 30 and evolves into Dragonite starting at level 55.

Ice pairs well with other common attacking types, most notably Ground, which deals at least neutral damage to all types resisting Ice and covers Fire and Steel while Ice covers Flying and Grass. As of Generation VII, Sheer Cold is more accurate when used by an Ice Pokémon.
For example, bug-type Pokémon are weak against fire-, flying-, and rock-type moves.

Offensively, Rock is great, being super-effective against four types: Bug, Flying, Fire, and Ice. Luckily, it actually has an equal number of resistances and weaknesses, with four again. Rock-type Pokemon will resist Fire, Flying, Normal, and Poison. It's weak to Fighting, Grass, Ground, and Water.
In the games, Dragon types are only weak against Ice and Dragon type moves. They are also highly resistant to Fire, Electric, Grass and Water type moves, with all four being featured as the starting Pokémon's types in the first Generation. This means that whilst Dragons are powerful, they are not unstoppable.
Dark PokémonThere are 73 Dark-type Pokémon.
A type chart displaying the weaknesses and resistances of a Pokémon when damaged by a move.
So, for instance, Offensively a Ground-type Pokemon/move is Strong against Poison, Rock, Steel, Fire and Electric types, dealing double damage to them. It only does 50% damage against Flying, Bug and Grass Pokemon.
Dark-type Pokémon have resistances to Ghost, other Dark, and Psychic-type Pokémon. But they are vulnerable to Fighting, Bug, and Fairy-type moves.

Electric Pokémon are very good defensively, being weak only to Ground moves. Eelektross is the only Pokémon to have no type disadvantages due to its ability, Levitate.
Nope. They are weak to different Types, and resist different types.
