Nidoqueen also has less Special Attack, but has more Special Defense than Nidoking. Nidoqueen also has higher Defense. In the end, this means that Nidoking is more of a sweeper than Nidoqueen in competitive battling, but Nidoqueen is bulkier and might make a good Wall/Support.
Nidoking. Great movepool and doesn't suffer any x4 weaknesses like Rhydon does. Rhydon is still a great poke mind you, but Nidoking is a little better IMO.
Thrash can only be learned at Level 23 by Nidoking. You cannot have both Thrash and Horn Drill in the same moveset UNLESS you use TM07 on Nidoking. So evolve Nidorino at Level 23 with the Moon Stone, and teach it Thrash.
nidoking can even be a hazard setter thanks to stealth rocks and t spikes. nidokings ability sheer force just complements its special movepool combined with life orb it can have high coverage and decent damage output.
I'd suggest you keep her the same way until around the 50's. If you want to have Superpower, level her up to 58 and give her the Moon Stone. But if you perfer moves like Crunch and Poison Fang, keep her as a Nidorina until 58 and then you can evolve her.
Most Moon Stone evolutions have some connection to the moon, night, or sleep. Jigglypuff is notorious for singing people to sleep, and Fairy-type has a slight connection to the moon. Munna deals with dreams, and Musharna usually looks like it's asleep.
Pikachu knows Thunderbolt at Level 21. But in Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon Pikachu knows Thunderbolt at Level 42, even though he can learn Wild Charge at Level 50 you can still evolve Pikachu at Level 42 in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, because Wild Charge is a TM too.
Kadabra and Alakazam learn the same moves, at the same levels. So unlike some other Pokémon (mostly stone evolutions which learn very few if any new moves after evolving), there's never any real reason to keep a Kadabra unevolved until reaching a certain level. Go ahead and evolve it as soon as you're able to!
Among the small list of stone evolutions, Growlithe is only one of four Pokémon that evolves using the Fire Stone. Before Pokémon Sword & Pokémon Shield, it was ideal to evolve Growlithe at level 45 to get all of his moves, but with the Move Reminder, you can learn all of Growlithe's moves without having to wait.
Nidoking has a huge movepool, so there are tons of
good moves to consider.
So the recommended movesets will be:
- Earthquake( STAB physical move)
- Megahorn( Coverage against ground and psychic types)
- Sludge bomb(STAB poison type)
Nidoran♀ (Japanese: ????♀ Nidoran♀) is a Poison-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It evolves into Nidorina starting at level 16, which evolves into Nidoqueen when exposed to a Moon Stone.
You're best off evolving Jigglypuff at level 29, when it knows Rest, or level 34 when it has learned Body Slam. Note that you need a Moon Stone to evolve Jigglypuff. Like with Clefairy and Clefable, Jigglypuff's most powerful feature is its high amount of HP.
What does Nidorino evolve into?
If you keep it as a Pikachu until level 29, it learns the fantastic, standard Electric-type attack Thunderbolt. It has high power, high accuracy, and gets a STAB boost when used by Pikachu/Raichu. I'd evolve it at level 30 or so.
You can catch a Nidorino in the Safari Zone, but it's always better to evolve one from a male Nidoran yourself. Horn Drill, which it learns at level 46 (41 in Blue/Red) is an insanely powerful technique.
The majority of Pokemon which evolve using a stone won't learn any moves when evolved, so you don't want to evolve those Pokemon until they've learned all their possible moves. Evolving them earlier will really, really limit their usefulness.
Unless you absolutely must have Gravity, Meteor Mash, Healing Wish, or After You, I'd just evolve at 46.
You can find Moon Stones quite easily in Mt. Moon early on in the game as hidden items. They appear in the craters that you see on the ground inside of the dungeon and respawn every 24 hours. You can tell when you get near to the stones because your partner Pokemon's tail starts to wag really quickly.
What is Nidoking weak to?
It enables certain kinds of Pokémon to evolve. Give it to the Pokémon when it's ready to evolve. An odd stone that gleams like the moon in the evening sky. It allows certain kinds of Pokémon to evolve.
Magikarp (Japanese: ????? Koiking) is a Water-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It evolves into Gyarados starting at level 20.
Clefairy (Japanese: ??? Pippi) is a Fairy-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. Prior to Generation VI, it was a Normal-type Pokémon. It evolves from Cleffa when leveled up with high friendship and evolves into Clefable when exposed to a Moon Stone.
Smells incredibly foul! However, around 1 out of 1,000 people enjoy sniffing its nose-bending stink. Locations: Evolve an Oddish into Gloom at level 21 or catch it yourself on Routes 12-15 in Pokemon Red and Yellow. You won't find it in Blue, though.
Nidoking is not soloable and it is required to have at least 2-3 Trainers in order to take it down. Nidoking is a poison ground type, with weaknesses to water, psychic, ice and ground moves. Nidoking has no double weaknesses.
The best Pokemon Go Nidoking counters are Shadow Mewtwo, Mewtwo, Shadow Metagross, Mega Blastoise, Shadow Swampert & Shadow Gyarados.
Shiny form of Nidoking was released on Dortmund Pokémon GO Fest 2019 on July 4th, 2019. Shadow form of Nidoking was released on Team GO Rocket Event on July 10th, 2020.
Sludge Bomb is a Poison-type Main move in Pokémon GO that deals 80 damage and costs 50 energy. It is strong against Grass and Fairy Pokémon and weak against Poison, Ground, Rock and Ghost Pokémon.
Physical NidokingOverall, the Special Nidoking is far superior. All four of its moves are boosted by Sheer Force, making them more powerful than the Physical Nidoking. All four of the moves have good BP and great coverage at the same time, another thing the Physical set cannot boast.
Nidoking is great to have, I've had one in my party since before the first badge, as a little nidoran (m) from the pokewalker, hes still with me and I'm about to go up against Red. They're great pokemon to have. :) Nidoqueen is ok, shes more defensive though were as King is more offensive.
Nidoking faces stiff competition from stronger special sweepers, but its unmatched coverage alone is enough to give it a spot in most teams - especially Monotype Teams that are in need of good coverage.
Nidoking does not learn any moves by breeding in Pokémon Sword & Shield.
Persian. Weak to Fighting, resist Ghost. Persian uses Dark and Normal fast moves, and it uses Dark, Rock or Fairy charge moves. This combination makes Melmetal one of the best counters to Persian, but Machamp and Rhyperior are not too far.
