Note that only Safari 14 can play Netflix in 4K on Mac; all other browsers will play in HD resolutions. Supported MacBook and iMac models will be able to play the video natively on their displays, but you'll need to be using a 4K HDR monitor or TV (with HDCP 2.2) to watch with a Mac mini or Mac Pro.
Technically, HDR is available on some smartphones and tablets that are not necessarily classified as having 4K displays. If you're browsing Netflix on a newish iOS or Android, look out for the HDR or Dolby Vision icon.
As mentioned, UHD is 3840×2160 pixels (2160P). An UHD signal has four times the data of an HD signal. Netflix distributes an UHD signal, but it's very compressed. You'll see a much better looking UHD picture with a digital download (very big file) or Ultra HD Blu-ray.

In looking at standard 4K LED TVs vs 4K OLED TVs, both offer great viewing experiences and improvements over 1080p. But LG OLED technology will truly transform your home entertainment experience with superior blacks, cinematic colors and High Dynamic Range with Dolby Vision support.
