Acquisition. Your alternate specs Artifact Weapons can be acquired at level 102. Head back to your Class Hall to pick them up.
Artifact appearances, including completed Mage Tower challenge appearances, are account wide. You can transmogrify a non-artifact weapon with an artifact appearance unlocked by a different character on the account.
Legendary transmogs are account-bound - Once you earn a legendary, it can be transmogged to all characters in your account (Provided they have sufficient level and weapon type for the Legendary)!

If you don't like how your moonkin form looks you can use Glyph of Stars. It will change your moonkin form to look like your normal humanoid form but transparent blue. Treant Form can be learned from Tome of the Wilds: Treant Form.
For those who may have done the quest recently and found they can't turn into the Lunarwing, you need to go to a barber shop and change the flight form to the Lunarwing for 2+ gold.
Artifacts presently cannot be deleted or otherwise destroyed, so it's definitely somewhere in your possession, provided you've already acquired it.
To unlock your second artifact quest, you must reach level 102 and progress far enough in your Order Hall campaign. If you are a Priest or Paladin, you must also complete A Falling Star . Each character class has a different quest to unlock their second artifact weapon.
Balance Druid - Hidden Artifact Appearance
- The Sunbloom is obtained by combining the Seed of Solar Fire with a Pure Drop of Shaladrassil's Sap.
- Both items require you to be at Exalted with Dreamweavers in order to purchase or loot them.
- Seed of Solar Fire is sold by Sylvia Hartshorn in Val'sharah.
All of these tints can be previewed on the Appearance tab of the Artifact Calculator or the Dressing Room. Ghost of the Pridemother: Unlocked through the Mage Tower Artifact Challenge, An Impossible Foe. The other tints can still be unlocked if you finished the Mage Tower Artifact Challenge during Legion.
When you hit lvl 98, you can go to legion and get a legion artifact for you spec. If you are specced as a guardian druid, you can only use the guardian artifact and not from the other classes. You can however swap between specs, and there among weapons (transmogs) and still get the skin.
No, your artifact weapon will become obsolete not long after starting BFA content. It only has one purpose now, to take up space in your bank.
In the order they become relevant, they are: Complete your Order Hall Campaign through A Glorious Campaign, Forged for Battle, and Roster of Champions. This is required for Kalec to appear in your Order Hall and offer The Power Within. It usually takes him 1-3 days after you've done this to appear.
You can no longer obtain Mage Tower skins in BfA. Those were an expansion limited reward like the transmog from Challenge Mode in WoD.
The reason they removed the mage tower challenges is because those challenges were built around artifact weapons, legendaries, and class design as it was in Legion. With BfA artifacts are removed and they've adjusted / removed / added abilities. They couldn't just scale them up to 120.
You can still obtain all the PvP appearances for the Legion artifacts. They unlock at honor level 10, 30, 50 and 80. On top of what Icefall said honor levels are account wide in BfA so you unlock those pvp artifact appearances for every character of every class at the same time.
How to Unlock new Artifact Traits and Knowledge in Legion 7.2
- Unlocking the Broken Shore. First you will need to get to the Broken Shore.
- Unlocking more Artifact Knowledge. After you get all 3 locations, go back to Khadgar at Deliverance Point to turn the quest in.
- Unlocking new Artifact Traits.
This achievement is NOT account wide credit so you need to do it on all toon's to use the artifact tint it unlocks along with Balance of Power chain.
Protection Paladin - Hidden Artifact AppearanceChance to drop from the Withered Army Training scenario from Suramar. It is speculated that you need to finish the scenario with at least 400 points in order to have a chance for the appearance to drop.
