Found in Lothric Castle, on the lifeless body of Black Hand Gotthard which can be encountered lying just before the entrance to the Grand Archives. The body will only appear once the player has defeated the first three Lords of Cinder: Abyss Watchers, Aldrich and Yhorm.
At the very bottom of the prison tower in the Duke's Archives is a locked door, inside of which is the Fire Keeper Soul. You'll know you're in the right area if there are octopus monsters. Sadly, you won't have the key when you reach this area, as you don't get it until much later in the level.
There are a few areas that require a little bit of work before you unlock the ability to summon. Dukes is one. Even though you can set a sign as soon as you ride that first elevator up, you wont actually be able to summon for the real boss fight until you face him the first time.
You'll need to get the Archive Tower Giant Cell Key to unlock the cell, it's located behind the removable bookshelves leading to the Crystal Caves, right after the second bonfire. It's in the treasure chest closest to the lever that opens the descending staircase. Get back, unlock his cell and talk to him.
How to access DLC Artorias of the Abyss
- Go to Darkroot Basin, beyond the waterfall will be a cave with a Golden Golem.
- Go to Duke's Archives, head up the elevator and kill the Crystal Golem for a Broken Pendant.
- Head back to where you freed Dusk of Oolacile in Darkroot Basin.
Increases soul absorption from defeated enemies as well as item discovery, but the curse of the branded also drains HP. The very form of this creature is thought to be a form of brand, a punishment for sin.
DARK SOULS REMASTERED includes the main game plus the Artorias of the Abyss DLC.
In Dark Souls 2, lighting a bonfire means you can now warp there. For Dark Souls 1 and Dark Souls 2, lighting a bonfire is a separate action than resting at it because you cannot rest when there are phantoms in your world.
Seath the Scaleless is a boss in Dark Souls. He is one of the holders of a Bequeathed Lord Soul Shard necessary to satiate the Lordvessel, making him a required boss.
The Archive Tower Giant Cell Key which opens his prison can be found in a chest in the room with the collapsible staircase on the bottom level of the main building (the room before the crystal golem garden that leads to Crystal Cave).
When you want or need to go back to the Prison bonfire in The Duke's Archives, there is a quick, direct route. Just remember that you can't Warp to or from the Prison bonfire, so you'll have to run back out at some point.

The EntranceYou'll easily see the Crystal Cave from the inner garden of The Duke's Archives. If you would rather not have to fight all the Crystal Golems on your way through the garden, as you can quite easily out-run them. Head straight for the opening and start making your way down the crystal walkways.
How to Get / Where to Find the Logan's Catalyst. The Duke's Archives/Crystal Cave. After buying all Big Hat Logan's spells in the Archives, and defeating Seath the Scaleless, talk to him once more, then leave the area/quit and go back.
The White Seance Ring is a ring in Dark Souls. A divine ring entrusted to the head bishop of the Way of White and apostle to Allfather Lloyd, uncle to Lord Gwyn. It grants additional attunement slots. The head bishop of the Way of White is the guardian of law and caste, and one of the great royals of Thorolund.
It is also possible to save Solaire by not speaking to him at the Anor Londo bonfire, or at any point before then. Then progress through the game as normal, Solaire will not be at the bonfire after the Centipede demon and will not go insane. Kill the bugs, then return to Solaire and proceed through his quest line.
