Using the web player
- Go to the Google Play Music web player.
- Click Menu. Music Library.
- Click Albums or Songs.
- Hover over the song or album you want to download.
- Click More. Download or Download album.

A playlist is a file that holds information about a group of items. A playlist folder is a folder that can hold playlists. It's as if playlists are documents, and playlist folders are folders, or what we old timers called subdirectories, where you can store a group of related documents.
Create a playlist
- Find a video you want in the playlist.
- Under the video, click Save .
- Select Watch later, Faves, or a playlist you've already created, or click Create new playlist. If you create a new playlist, enter a playlist name.
- Use the drop-down box to select your playlist's privacy setting.
- Click Create.
Steps
- Open Google Play Music on your Android. It's the icon with headphones labeled “Play Music” typically found in the app drawer.
- Tap ☰. It's at the top-left corner of the screen.
- Tap Music Library.
- Tap SONGS.
- Tap ? on a song you want to add.
- Tap Add to playlist.
- Tap NEW PLAYLIST.
- Enter a name for the playlist.
Go to the Google play music app on your playlist and hit the cast button and cast it to your Google Home. Then you can proceed using voice controls as normal.
To create a playlist on your Android device you need to click on the My Collection icon on the bottom of the screen, then Playlists. Click on the plus sign and make up a title for your playlist. Search for the track of your choice, hold your finger down on the track and select Add to Playlist.
Open the folder (such as "Downloads") where you saved the music. Open "My Music" in another window. Drag the file from its original location to "My Music." The file will then appear in your "My Music" folder.
Google has made its streaming music service Google Play Music free to use, without a subscription. Google (GOOGL) launched the new version for U.S. desktop users Tuesday, and will roll out updates to its Android and iOS app later this week.
