Tannis most likely inherited her siren powers from Angel, after Angel died. Tannis has remarked that she is unsure of how it happened. So it is both possible that Angel intentionally passed on her powers to Tannis or that Tannis hit the cosmic jackpot in acquiring her powers.
The hunter and siern are the best solo, the soilder and Brick are also good at solo, but they take a little longer, the hunters blood wing is so good when leveled correctly, and the siren can kill everyone with her phasewalk by just going behind enemy lines and shooting everyone.
There are only 6 sirens in the universe because there are only 6 living Eridians in the universe. The Eridians could have the power to transit their own powers into other beings. Seems they prefer humans since, all sirens are human(ish) as far as we've seen. So, 6 Eridians, 6 sirens.
Sirens are typically female, and will develop powers whenever they inherit them from the previous Siren. However, exceptions to the "women only" rule do exist, as shown by Troy Calypso, who manifested similar but weaker powers due to being a parasitic twin to Tyreen Calypso.
He was betrayed by people who saw that he had the potential to be a villain and decided to kill him before he became one--and in so doing, they made him one.
If you've been playing Borderlands 3 since launch, you know that Zane has generally been pretty underpowered for most of the time the game has been out.
Zane, the Operative (aka the Gun Man)Zane readily fits into the Borderlands tradition of characters like Roland and Axton. Historically, they're the normiest Vault Hunters available, though Zane at least has a neat older fella look going for him.
He is super good with cryo guns and some skills in his green tree that are tied to freezing enemies. Zane has an incredibly good tank setup with his shield+green tree, and being able to get-up from FFYL with his clone, but simply surviving isn't as good as mowing down enemies as Moze.
Zane Flynt, The OperativeHe's very much a loner despite being extroverted. To become a Vault Hunter, he left his happy retirement. Age: 50s.
It's definitely a far more involved playstyle then many other VH builds, and he can definitely be difficult to play(especially difficult to understand at first). Just isn't “weak”. <3. Zane is probably the least accessible VH. This will inevitably make him appear weaker to the common player.

In Borderlands 3, Amara is generally good for crowd control thanks to her ability to damage groups of enemies or target specific problems. Her Phasegrasp is good for isolating big threats, while Phaseslam is good for clearing space with an area of effect blast.
Zane is better for beginners than Amara is because of his high level of flexibility. His ability to equip two Action Skills at the same time makes him so flexible. But I like to believe that it's a double-edged sword.
Flak takes more thought than zane. That makes fl4k more satisfying by miles. Literally zane can be invincible to everything but melle and stay that way trivializing the game.
I've played all four games solo, so I don't know how much my opinion will matter, but yes-- I enjoyed Borderlands 3 as a solo experience. I had a blast playing through its entirety solo. Working my way to max level before hitting the maybem modes. I've played all the games solo for the most part.
To me, FL4K feels more versatile and fun to play. Both beginning and end game. All of his AS are useful and you can go with whichever fits your play style, situation, solo, coop, etc. His pets are useful for the boost and revive still.
