The New International Version is the intellectual property of Biblica, an international organization based out of Colorado Springs. However, it is edited solely by the Committee on Bible Translation. They meet each year, and have since their creation and the first publishing of the NIV in 1978.

It is the most accurate and trust worthy translation into English available and is the only English version published by the Socie ty'. 24 Al- though the NKJV claims to be a faithful revision of the AV, it has been demon- strated that it cannot validly claim the same strengths and virtues as those found in the AV.
The English Standard Version is the result. The purpose of this article is to demonstrate that the ESV is a light revision of the RSV and that, because of the textual basis and translational errors carried over from the RSV, it is not a trustworthy translation of the Bible.
I own 38 Bibles. This is my favorite. The NLT is a good translation, faithful to the text, and not afraid to use English phrases to translate complex Hebrew and Greek words more faithfully.
