How to buy Kindle books on the iPhone
- Open the Safari app and navigate to Amazon.com.
- If you're not already logged in, sign into Amazon using your account information.
- Find the Kindle title that you want to buy.
- Complete the purchase.
- Now open the Kindle app.
- You should see the book in the "All" tab.
Launch the Kindle app on your iPhone or iPad. Tap Library to see all of the e-books in your Amazon library. Tap the book you wish to download onto your device. When it's finished downloading (it will have a checkmark next to it), tap the book to open it.

How to buy Kindle books on Amazon
- Open Safari or your preferred web browser on your iPhone, iPad, or your computer.
- Navigate to the Kindle e-books page.
- If you haven't already, log into your Amazon account:
- Once signed in, navigate back to the Kindle e-books page and select an e-book you want to purchase.
Head to Amazon and find the Kindle version of the book you want to gift. Then click the "Give as Gift" button. You can choose to e-mail the e-book gift to the recipient with a future delivery date, or print out a voucher (which you can then place in a greeting card).
1-Click purchasing is the only way to purchase digital content, so, you cannot turn that option off for digital purchases. 1-Click always uses eligible credits and gifts cards that are already applied to the account, though. Apply the gift card to your account, then make your Kindle book purchase.
Here's how it works:
- Sign up for a free 2-month subscription to Kindle Unlimited.

Shelfie gives readers electronic versions of the books they already own. Here's how the app works: Readers take a picture of their bookshelves, and Shelfie (which is operated by a larger company, BitLit) scans the titles for eligible eBook downloads. Here's how:
- Download the update to your computer, and then copy it to your Kindle using the USB cable.
- Disconnect your Kindle from your computer.
- Open the settings menu on your Kindle, and then open the dropdown menu. You should see an option labeled "Update your Kindle". Select it, and then confirm the update.

You can connect your Kindle Fire to your home Wi-Fi network, public Wi-Fi networks, and some enterprise private networks.
- Swipe down from the top of the screen to show Quick Settings, and then tap Wireless.
- Verify that Airplane Mode is Off.
- Next to Wi-Fi, tap On.
- Tap a network to connect to it. If you see a lock.
First, make sure that your Kindle is connected to the Internet.
