According to WarnerMedia, most customers who use HBO GO are now able to use HBO Max instead, which means the HBO GO app is no longer necessary. Apps will be removed by July 31, and HBO GO will be available on the web until August 31.
Note The HBO GO app and HBOGO.com are no longer available. HBO Max is a new way to stream HBO plus much more. Your HBO subscription through your TV or internet provider may give access to HBO Max for no extra cost.

The HBO NOW app, the standalone streaming service, has been rebranded to the HBO app. Existing HBO NOW subscribers still have access to HBO through the rebranded HBO app on supported devices and through play.hbonow.com. Video frequently buffers, freezes, or is poor qualityWhen streaming video, HBO adjusts the video quality based on the strength of your network bandwidth and connection speed. If your network bandwidth is too low or the connection speed fluctuates, you might get a lower resolution video or no video.
Make sure you have the latest version of HBO Max. To do this, go to the Play Store, then choose My Apps and look to see if HBO Max is listed under updates (if it is, choose Update). Make sure you have the latest software updates on your Android TV. To do this, go to Settings > About > System update > Check now.
If you get an HBO Go service error, you can fix it by taking action yourself without contacting HBO. You should do the following: Check for an app update on your device. Reboot your device.
