Press F11. You may have to push and hold the FN key at the same time, depending on your laptop model. F11 can be used to toggle Full Screen mode. You can also move your cursor to the upper edge of the screen.
Resizing your desktop to fit the screen
- Either on the remote control or from the picture section of the user menu, look for a setting called “Picture”, “P. Mode”, “Aspect”, or “Format”.
- Set it to “1:1”, “Just Scan”, “Full Pixel”, “Unscaled”, or “Screen Fit”.
- If this does not work, or if you cannot find the controls, see the next section.
How to Change Screen Resolution in Windows 10
- Click the Start button.
- Select the Settings icon.
- Select System.
- Click Advanced display settings.
- Click on the menu under Resolution.
- Select the option you want. We strongly recommend going with the one that has (Recommended) next to it.
- Click Apply.
Go to Desktop, right-click and select Display settings. Open Display Settings. First and foremost, make sure your scaling is set to 100%. If you are using an old version of Windows 10, you will see a slide on the top of the Display panel.
Click Toolbars, and in the list on the left side of the window, highlight the toolbar you wish to restore. Click Restore or Reset. In the dialog box that appears, click OK to reset the toolbar.
Invoke the Taskbar by pressing the Ctrl + Shift + Esc keyboard shortcut. Navigate to the Processes tab. Search the list of processes for Windows Explorer. Right-click the process and select Restart.
If the toolbar is active, but cannot be found, it is probably 'hidden' on the screen. E.g. it can be under or behind another toolbar. That's why you should drag all toolbars to the center of the screen. If you still cannot find the toolbar, you can clean the registry of your computer.
Press and hold or right-click any empty space on the taskbar, select Taskbar settings , and then select On for Use small taskbar buttons.
The taskbar is an element of an operating system located at the bottom of the screen. It allows you to locate and launch programs through Start and the Start menu, or view any program that's currently open. With Windows 8, Microsoft removed the Start button, but later added it back in Windows 8.1.
First up, right-click on the taskbar and click on Taskbar settings. In the Settings window, make sure that the options are toggled on/off exactly as shown in the image below (default taskbar settings). That is the Windows 10 default taskbar setting.
The task bar is the gray bar at the bottom of your screen that displays the start menu, perhaps a few icons next to the start menu on what is called the Quick Launch Toolbar, and several icons on the far right in what is called the system tray.
How to Unhide the Task Bar
- Click the bottom of your screen to view the hidden taskbar. Right-click a blank section of the taskbar, then click "Properties" from the pop-up menu.
- Uncheck the "Auto Hide" check box located under the "Taskbar Properties" tab by clicking with your mouse once.
- Click "OK" to close the window.
How do I get my toolbar back?
- Restart Windows. First, try restarting Windows when the taskbar goes missing.
- Restart the Windows Explorer.exe Process.
- Turn Off the Automatically Hide the Taskbar Option.
- Turn Off Tablet Mode.
- Check the Display Settings.
If your search bar is hidden and you want it to show on the taskbar, press and hold (or right-click) the taskbar and select Search > Show search box. If the above doesn't work, try opening taskbar settings. Select Start > Settings > Personalization > Taskbar.

Method I: Restart Windows Explorer using Task Manager
- Press Ctrl + Shift + ESC buttons or right-click on your task bar and select Task manager to launch it.
- Click More details if you're not seeing the big panel (see picture).
- In the Processes tab, right-click on Windows Explorer and then select Restart.
If your taskbar doesn't hide even with the auto-hide feature turned on, it's most likely an application's fault. When you're having issues with fullscreen applications, videos or documents, check your running apps and close them one by one. As you do this, you can find which app is causing the issue.
