If you use an Android phone or tablet
- Click the menu button at the top right of your screen.
- Once you're there, scroll down and tap “Settings & Privacy,” then “Settings.”
- From there, scroll down until you find “Media and Contacts.”
- Finally, once you find “Autoplay,” you can set it to “Never Autoplay Videos.”
Step 1: Open the YouTube app and tap on the user silhouette near the top right. Make sure you see your profile here, otherwise you'll need to log in. Step 2: Tap the overflow menu in the top right corner and head to Settings > Notifications. Step 3: Toggle the switch next to Recommended videos.
Your video views will be dependent on various factors. If user engagement or activity decreases, YouTube will stop suggesting your videos in the sidebar or search results. Ultimately YouTube wants to deliver videos to users that will keep the viewer active on YouTube.
Use the YouTube 'send feedback' box in the menu. Write something like "Stop auto-pausing videos !" I repeated that enough times to fill about 8 A4 pages (Copy and Paste from Word). Paste that into feedback box (disable screen capture) and send. Send this multiple times, day after day.
Firstly, find the video you want and click 'Share', which is usually beneath the video by the title. Then, select 'Embed' rather than 'Copy'. This'll open up a new box on your screen with the code for the video you want to embed. You'll want to uncheck the box that reads 'Show suggested videos when the video finished'.
8 OBS tips to make your stream run smoothly
- Use your Graphics Card for Encoding.
- Load your Overlay from a single Browser Source.
- Adjust Video Bitrate.
- You can set your Video Bitrate in Settings > Output > Streaming.
- Advanced Encoder Settings.
- There are a couple of hidden settings within Settings > Output > Streaming.
How to Stop Dropped Frames in OBS
- Reduce the resolution of your streams. In general, the higher the stream resolution, the higher the CPU usage.
- Reduce the bitrate of your streams.
- If live streaming over WiFi try using an ethernet cable.
- Check your firewall settings.
- Broadcast to a server that is closest to you.
Full HD with a standard Framerate (1080p, 30fps) > your bitrate should be 3,500 to 5,000 kbps. Regular HD with High Framerate (720p, 60fps) > your bitrate should be 3,500 to 5,000 kbps. Regular HD with Standard Framerate (720p, 30fps) > your bitrate should be 2,500 to 4,000 kbps.
The FPS you stream at is also a factor in how much resources you're using, streamers often wonder what to use between 60 or 30 FPS, 30 FPS would be a safer bet than 60 FPS with a less powerful computer. Selecting a lower FPS will use less CPU usage not having to capture 60 frames every second but instead half of that.
Recommended Encoding Settings
| Quality | Resolution | Video Bitrate |
|---|
| High | 960x540 / 854x480 | 1200 - 1500 kbps |
| HD 720 | 1280x720 | 1,500 - 4,000 kbps |
| HD 1080 | 1920x1080 | 4,000-8,000 kbps |
| 4K | 3840x2160 | 8,000-14,000 kbps |
Yep, that's right: YouTube can now help you stop watching YouTube. Granted, the feature isn't turned on by default, but it's still a nice gesture. You can access it by tapping on your profile icon, then Settings > General > Remind me to take a break.
A choppy YouTube video that jumps and skips can also be caused by the host machine running out of the available memory or processing time that it needs to play the content smoothly. Shut down any other applications to free up system resources or view the video at a lower resolution to see if this solves the problem.
Happily you can turn them off. Just tap your profile picture at top-right, then tap Settings > Autoplay. Turn off the “Autoplay on Home” toggle, as shown above, and you're done.
