Heimdall himself is, like so many of the Norse deities, a son of Odin. In a feat possible for gods but not for biological creatures, he was born from no less than nine mothers.
Thor's allies include Odin Borson, his father and King of the Asgardians; his mother and Earth Goddess Gaea; and his stepmother Frigga. His best friends include Sif (whom he has intermittent romances with), Balder, and the Warriors Three: Fandral the Dashing, Hogun the Grim, and Volstagg the Enormous.
All Asgardians are gods. All Asgardians have super strength, durability, endurance, enhanced speed, and enhanced healing. Many are capable of magic and they all carry a spark of the Odinforce within them.
Because, Thanos was not angry at anyone but Hulk because of that fight. No one in that ship attacked Thanos that much. Because Heimdall honored Hulk by saving him. Thanos' attack on Asgardians' ship and massacre of their people, It is Asgardians' fate.
Noticing the Bifrost whisking Hulk to safety, Thanos made his way to Heimdall. Taking Corvus Glaive's glaive, Thanos informed Heimdall that his actions were a mistake and stabbed Heimdall in the heart with the glaive. With one final look at his king, Heimdall took his last breath and died.
He acted blind to his immediate surroundings; turning towards people but never looking directly at them, turning his ear toward sounds, rather than his eyes, stuff like that. In Ragnarok, Heimdall was different. In Thor 1&2, he never tracked movement with his eyes.
You are Saying 'Can' he beat Thanos so the answer is YES but 'Should' he be able to beat Thanos? NO. Superman should not be even able to beat Darkseid alone but he has been shown to atleast defeat Darkseid temporarily in a battle and Thanos was made after Darkseid so it is safe to say that Superman can.
So, the average lifespan of an Asgardian is approximately 5000 years + 71.4 years = 5071.4 years.
Odin's “worthiness” enchantment to Mjolnir was made only during the events of the first Thor movie. Thus, Hela being able to handle/wield the Mjolnir before had little to do about her being “worthy.” You could say part of the reason why Odin added the enchantment is to prevent another Hela from using the hammer.
At the beginning of Avengers: Endgame, Loki was definitely dead. He was killed during Avengers: Infinity War by Thanos, who emphatically said the trickster god would not be returning. When, towards the end of the movie, Professor Hulk used the Infinity Gauntlet to bring back those who were snapped, Loki did not return.
Hulk has traditionally been seen as the strongest Avenger physically — and for good reason, though he's been subdued by both Iron Man and Thor.
Captain Marvel's combat speed is slightly beyond Thanos, and Captain America and Thor both kept up with him, so Captain Marvel is slightly more agile and faster than Thor. Thor's strength is on par with Captain Marvel's, with his Nidavellir feats against her missile stopping feat. Yes.
In Norse mythology, Ragnarök ("fate of the gods") is the battle at the end of the world. It is to be fought between the gods or Æsir, led by Odin; and the fire giants, the Jötnar and other monsters, led by Loki and Surtr.
As Heimdall was Thor's good friend, the Asgardian King took his death the hardest out of the deaths of the Asgardians, surpassed only by the grief he felt for Loki, who died soon after Heimdall.
He was sort of an “all powerful” being. Of course you may think Odin could defeat him. That's where you're incorrect. The Living Tribunal has faced Odin in the comics and defeated him by LITERALLY waving his hand.
At the end of the first Thor film Loki releases himself into the depths of space as Thor and Odin wail out in lament. He clearly dies. But then he appears again in The Avengers. Then in Thor: The Dark World, a villain stabs Loki and Thor wails as he dies in his arms.
Powers and abilities
Heimdall possesses the powers of a typical Asgardian, including superhuman strength, stamina, speed, agility and durability. However, he is generally stronger and more durable than all but a few Asgardians, such as Odin and Thor. The gods will awake and assemble together at the thing. At the end of the battle between various gods and their enemies, Heimdallr will face Loki and they will kill one another. After, the world will be engulfed in flames. High then quotes the above-mentioned stanza regarding Heimdallr raising his horn in Völuspá.
When news emerged late last year that the 37-year-old black Londoner had been chosen to play Heimdall, "the whitest of the gods", a being who can hear the sap flowing in trees and look across time and space, many devotees of the Marvel comics on which the film is based flocked to online forums to weep, gnash their
In the Guardians of the Galaxy timeline, Heimdall is still alive and well in the 31st Century. He battled Starhawk and Aleta on the Bifrost Bridge.
Asgardians are immune to all terrestrial diseases and resistant to conventional injury (however this resilience seems relatively incapable of defeating the zombie plague in Earth-2149 that affects even Asgardians). The metabolism of the Asgardians gives them superhuman stamina in all physical activities.
Fictional character biography. Heimdall is the brother of the warrior Sif. He is the all-seeing and all-hearing guardian sentry of Asgard who stands on the rainbow bridge Bifröst to watch for any attacks to Asgard.

Heimdallr possesses a trumpet, Gjallarhorn, that, when blown, can be heard in all worlds, and "the head is referred to as Heimdall's sword".
In Norse mythology, Heimdallr is a god who possesses the resounding horn Gjallarhorn, owns the golden-maned horse Gulltoppr, is called the shining god and the whitest of the gods, has gold teeth, and is the son of Nine Mothers (who may represent personified waves).
Heimdall can also "look across time, as well as space", in one instance seeing the far-off approach of an invading party and correctly predicting that they were still a full two days away from Asgard; this ability to see what has yet to come is retained even after the establishment of the new Asgard on Earth.
In Norse mythology, the Nine Mothers of Heimdallr are nine sisters who gave birth to the god Heimdallr. Scholars have theorized that Heimdallr's Nine Mothers may be identical to the Nine Daughters of Ægir and Rán, who personify waves. In turn, Heimdallr would be born of the sea.
