In many cases, the cause for a bounding pulse is never found. On the other hand, when the cause is found, it is usually not severe or life-threatening. But on occasion, a bounding pulse can point to a serious health problem that requires medical attention.
In very rare cases and we stress very rare cases, sometimes there are weaknesses in the wall of the femoral artery in the thigh and this is known as a femoral artery aneurysm – there can also be pseudoaneurysms due to cardiac catheterisation of the femoral artery and this gives rise to the symptom of pulsing.

- Massage the jaw joint and muscles to loosen them. This is helpful to relieve the pain and stiffness during a lockjaw flareup.
