By that definition, 1050 Ti is the opposite of future-proof. If you just want to play 1080p or 720p at 30 FPS ish on low-medium settings, that's not future-proofing, but you could be fine for a long time at those specs with a 1050 Ti.
Can the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti OC edition run 4K resolution? Yes, at low to mid settings 30fps. Consoles use a GPU at this price range, probably lower, however the only advantage to to the Consoles is it that it upscales and downscales constantly to maintain 30fps.
GTX 1050Ti plays current games pretty well, but it is definitely not future proof: in a few years it might only be able to play games at medium/low settings. Still, if you lower the resolution to sub 1080p or lower the graphical settings, GTX 1050Ti is still quite a powerhouse.
The 1050 Ti is strong enough to handle nearly all games on high enough settings to show off the graphics without going overkill, or to get a very nice frame rate on less demanding games/settings. I own this card paired with Intel i3 6100 and 8GB DDR4 Memory.
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti benchmarks: the fastest budget gaming GPU, but also the priciest. Best-in-class performance and a decent amount of RAM for 1080p gaming. The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti is based on a fully enabled version of the GP107 processor and is delivered with four gigabytes of RAM.
The minimum requirement for VR is GTX 1060. But later on due to technology ASW, VR is now supported on both GTX 1050 Ti and GTX 1050 . But again due to higher VRAM , GTX 1050 Ti will make more sense to invest.
- Quora. Is the GTX 1050 Ti good enough for Indie game development? The higher-tier 10-series cards are mostly for higher resolutions, VR, or framerates in excess of what the average monitor will even di Yes, it's almost certainly good enough.
Technically there isn't going to be too much RAM for your system unless you have bought more than the motherboard can handle. As mentioned, 8GB of RAM is great for gaming as many, if not all, games will run well at this RAM capacity. There are specific cases for 16GB of RAM and higher being ideal for gamers.
By contrast to lower resolutions, only powerful multimedia and gaming notebooks can play FIFA 19 at resolutions beyond 1920x1080. We would recommend using an Nvidia GeForce GTX 970M or a GTX 1050 if you would like to play the game at 2560x1440 and at least a GeForce GTX 980M for gaming at 3840x2160.
GeForce MX250
The NVIDIA® GeForce® MX250 supercharges your laptop for work and play. Now, you can expect up to 3.5X faster performance over integrated graphics for photo and video-editing applications, as well as faster, smoother gaming. Here, GTX 1050 Ti is put into context against GTX 1060, GTX 1070 and GTX 1080. The remarkable reality is that the GTX 1050 Ti offers more VRAM than its more expensive sibling, and while 3GB is still generally fine for 1080p gaming, there are still scenarios where the GTX 1060 can hit its limit.
Yes, the GTX 1650 is faster than the previous generation GTX 1050 Ti, but it's also roughly the same performance as a high-end GPU from nearly five years ago. The GTX 1650 isn't a bad GPU by any means. It can hit 60fps at 1080p medium to high quality in most games, and it's affordable.
Without enough video memory, the GPU will be constrained, unable to perform at its maximum potential. Generally speaking, for 1080p gaming, 2GB of video memory is an adequate minimum, but 4GB is much better. In cards under $300 nowadays, you'll see graphics memory ranging from 1GB up to 8GB.
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 2GB benchmarks: a good budget card but it needs more RAM. This Nvidia card features more memory and the fully enabled version of the GP107 processor found in the 1050, making it a better performer in all games than either GTX 1050 model.
Running at high, 1650 runs everything at 60+. High GPU intensive games like Witcher 3 and Division 2, sometimes comes to 50-below. It does handle all games available. You still need to tweak some settings down to get 60 on 1080p high.
The key differences come down to clock speeds and CUDA cores. Higher clock speeds and more cores translate into a more capable GPU that can do more work, more quickly. The GTX 1050 has a clock speed of1,354 MHz and 640 CUDA cores, and the Ti has a clock speed of 1,493 MHz and 768 cores.
