While it doesn't change the content of the film, Avatar's big switcharoo in title cards does continue to bode well for Disney's long haul approach to the series at large. However, should you want to see the same old Avatar being released under a brand new title banner, you can watch that film on Disney+.

The streaming service has a plethora of exceptional titles within its impressive library of content. Unfortunately, Avatar is not one of those films that is available on Netflix.
No, Avatar isn't 4K at all and never will be. Almost all CGI is rendered in 2K, and any releases of 4K movies that have CGI are simply 2K upscales. Even then in order to get a movie shot on film in 4K, they would have to have scanned the film in 4K, which again, is somewhat uncommon until recently.
None of the scenes will be cut or changed, but a very small amount of audio will be edited. In a tweet thread today, Miranda assured fans, “you're getting the whole show, every note & scene.” The only edits made to Hamilton on Disney+ will be to cover up language.

“Avatar“ isn't censored on Disney+, it's just the theatrical version. The scene everyone is missing is a 22 second scene that was added to the already released scene in the movie's 2010 “Extended Collector's Edition“ Blu-ray release. They also added a scene with Jake on Earth at the beginning of the Movie, IIRC.
But certain eagle-eyed Disney viewers have noticed some things change For some strange reason or another, certain films and entries have been altered or edited in some way. This might be as simple as a film restoration, but it also might be as glaring as unnecessary censorship.
Should you get Disney Plus? For Disney's legions of Star Wars, Marvel and Pixar fans who want to enjoy those movies, and their extra features, the service is easily worth the relatively low monthly fee.
