Mirror your Android phone or tablet screen to the TV
- From your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Home app.
- Tap the left hand navigation to open the menu.
- Tap Cast screen / audio and select your TV.

All you have to do once set up using the Google Home app on an Android or iOS device is say the wake words: “OK, Google” or the easier to say “Hey Google”. You can set the Home Mini to always play music out of a Google Cast-enabled speaker or the Chromecast Audio dongle, but cannot link it to a Bluetooth speaker.

- Turn the TV on, and make sure the Chromecast screen is showing on your TV.

Yes, you can. In order to use connect Google Home to a TV without Chromecast, you'll need to use a 3rd party WiFi-enabled universal remote in most cases. Another option would be to use the Android Quick Remote App to connect a Roku or Roku TV.
You must be linked to the Google Nest or Home speaker or display to be able to set its preferred TV or speakers. You can set as preferred audio or video output any device/group that's inked to any of the users linked to the specific Google Nest or Home speaker or display.
You either need wifi or a hotspot for google home to work. However, you can use google home as a blue tooth speaker without wifi. Enable 'pairing mode' requires the Google Home app. ' Tap google device you want to pair and select 'paired Bluetooth devices.

- Open the Google Home app .
- Tap the device you want to cast your audio to.

Get started
- Plug in your speaker or display.
- Connect your mobile device to the Wi-Fi network that you'll use for your speaker or display.
- On your phone or tablet, open the Google Home app .
- Tap the Add icon Set up device.
- You'll be able to opt out of some settings, like Voice match or Personal results.
You can play music, just not specific song/album/artists. You can ask for a song/album/artist, and it will play a play listed that is similar in nature to your request. If you upload your own music to Google Play Music, you WILL be able to request those tracks/albums specifically. You can also put them in playlists.
Use Apple Music with Chromecast
- Make sure that your Android device and Chromecast device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open Apple Music and start playback.
- Tap the song that's playing at the bottom of your screen to open Now Playing.
- Tap the Cast button .
- Tap your Chromecast device.
The Google Home works just as any other Chromecast device when streaming content from your phone or tablet, so you can adjust the volume without touching Home or using a voice command. To do so, open the Google Home app and tap on the speaker you want to control, then adjust the volume as you see fit.
On your iPhone, iPad, or Android device, open the Google Home app. Tap Settings. Tap Music. Under "Your music services," select Apple Music.
