Warren Dunes State Park, 12032 Red Arrow Highway, Sawyer. Dogs are allowed on the beach north of the northernmost beach parking lot. It's a great place to swim together in the water. Leashed dogs are also allowed on six miles of hiking trails, boardwalks and in the campground.

Be Safe on the LakeThere are two lifeguarded beaches in the parks—West Beach in the National Park and the Indiana Dunes State Park Swimming Beach. The other beaches are unguarded so you swim at your own risk. The waves on Lake Michigan can be quite large and dangerous.
