Apple users, rejoice. Google this week released its long-awaited Chromecast app in Apple's App Store for devices running iOS 6 or higher. The Chromecast app gives iPhone and iPad users the ability to easily set up and manage the popular $35 TV dongle from their device.
You can use Google Chromecast to stream video, audio, and images from your iPhone to your television, projector, or display. When you set up Chromecast on your iPhone, you can cast anything from your Google accounts or streaming services like Netflix, YouTube, or HBO.
On the page, tap on the “Internet” option and connect your iPhone to your home Wi-Fi network. Finally, scroll from the bottom of your iPhone to open the Control Center. Tap on “Screen Mirroring” and select the name of your AnyCast device. By then, you will be able to stream iPhone to TV without Apple TV.
Use Screen Mirroring to see the entire screen of your iOS device on your Apple TV or AirPlay 2-compatible smart TV.
- Connect your iOS device to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV or AirPlay 2-compatible smart TV.
- Open Control Center:
- Tap Screen Mirroring.
Restart your iOS device. Plug in your Chromecast device. Make sure that both your iOS device and Chromecast are connected to the same Wi-Fi network (go to Settings >Wi-Fi on your device, and choose a network). Try casting a video.
Normally on a computer any tab in the Chrome web browser can be casted to a Chromecast device. At this time, it's not possible to cast a tab from Chrome for Mobile. This includes the Chrome browser on iOS devices. Chromecast support is limited to specific iOS apps with built-in casting.

Using Chromecast without Wi-Fi is really quite simple because Google now allows you to cast locally stored content from your phone or laptop to Chromecast without a Wi-Fi connection. You can also mirror your device without Wi-Fi.
The easiest way to connect wirelessly is with Apple's AirPlay feature, which allows you to mirror your iPhone or iPad via the Apple TV or TVs that support AirPlay 2. (You can also just use AirPlay to stream media from the iPhone to the TV, such as music or videos you've purchased on iTunes.)
Open a Chromecast-supported app on your iPhone or iPad. Tap the Cast button. (It's a rounded rectangle with a Wi-Fi symbol in the bottom left corner.) Select “Chromecast” from the list of available devices to cast to TV.
By far, the simplest way to connect your iPhone or iPad to your TV is to use a cable like Apple's Digital AV Adapter, which connects your Apple device to your TV's HDMI port. You'll also need a standard HDMI cable—any one will do, so just buy the least expensive one you can find.

Connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to a display:
- Plug your Digital AV or VGA adapter into the charging port on the bottom of your iOS device.
- Connect an HDMI or VGA cable to your adapter.
- Connect the other end of your HDMI or VGA cable to your secondary display (TV, monitor, or projector).
