But if you have fallen in love with a sample gown multiple sizes too large, a talented tailor can often work wonders to reshape the dress.
Don't have all the details but I just brought mine to dB and it was about $150 for hemming a few layers, about $35 for shortening lace straps and another $20 to add in the cups. $205 total. Prices for common alterations typically fall into these broad ranges: Hemming Pants, Skirts, or Dresses: $10 to $25 – Skirts with a lining cost more to hem than unlined ones. Shortening Sleeves: $15 to $40 – Jacket sleeves cost more than shirt sleeves, and jackets with buttons and linings cost more than plain ones.
Wrap the dress in a cotton sheet and store it in a long flat acid-free cardboard box. This will protect it from dust and pets. Rolling the dress will leave less wrinkles but you can also fold it if necessary, using acid-free tissue paper. Try to slip the box under a bed in a cool dry place.

Sizing is just a number.Bridal sizing isn't like typical street wear sizing. While you might be a size 4-6 in jeans, you're in fact a bridal size 8-10, and if you're a size 14-16, you're likely a 18-20.
