To become a clinical psychologist, you will need an undergraduate degree (four to five years of college) plus a doctorate degree (four to seven years of graduate school). For this specialty area, most people will spend between eight to 12 years in higher education.
You'll need a first or upper second class degree, and evidence of excellent research skills to apply. You'll also need relevant work experience. If you have a degree in a different subject, you may be able to complete an approved psychology conversion course.
Most clinical and counseling psychologists need a doctorate in psychology, an internship, and at least 1 to 2 years of supervised professional experience. They also must pass the Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology. The American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology offers certification in neuropsychology.

If you are a first-time entering student, and your application for the 2018 NSFAS funding is approved, NSFAS will pay your 2018 student fees to any university or TVET College, provided you have been granted admission to study. This means that without admission, there will be no NSFAS funding.

Admission. An undergraduate university degree with two recognised school subjects or a recognised qualification with a minimum of 360 credits at NQF level 6 and that includes at least two recognised school subjects. Students must also be able to take two methodology subjects in order to obtain the qualification.

Cut off mark simply means a certain mark which candidates are expected not to score below if they want to be admitted for the particular year in view. For example, if NWU sets its JAMB cut off mark as 300, then any student who scores below 300 should automatically start thinking of other options.
