Pairing a Bluetooth Headset or Device
- In the XMB™ home menu, go to [Settings] > [Accessory Settings].
- Select the "Manage Bluetooth® Devices" option to register (or "pair") a Bluetooth-compatible device with the PS3.
- If no Bluetooth device is paired with the PS3, the message The Bluetooth® device has not been registered.
Select "Settings" from the PS3's XMB menu; then press the "X" button on your controller. Click "Accessory Settings"; then click "Manage Bluetooth Devices." Click "Yes" to pair the headset with your gaming system; then click "Start Scanning." The PS3 gaming system scans for the headsets and displays it.
To pair the headset,
- Turn the headset on.
- On the cross media bar of the PS3, go to Settings, then Accessory Settings, and then Manage Bluetooth Devices.
- Follow the instructions on your screen, and let the PS3 scan for the headset.
- If prompted for a passkey, enter 0000 (four zeros).
After the Bluetooth headset has been successfully registered (paired) with the PS3, you must set it as the default Input / Output Audio device before it can be used. In the home menu, go to (Settings) > [Accessory Settings] > [Audio Device Settings] and press the X button. Highlight [Input Device] and press the button.

- Plug in a 3.5mm audio cable into the monitor and into your audio.
- If you have the monitor connected with HDMI, the headphone jack outputs whatever the HDMI is feeding into the monitor.
- Just plug your headphone into the port.
- The monitor has a simple audio-out jack.

The audio control box contains a volume dial to adjust the headphone output volume and a microphone mute slider to mute the microphone output. To increase the volume of the headset, rotate the volume wheel towards the + sign (anticlockwise). To reduce the volume, rotate the volume wheel towards the – sign (clockwise).
The HyperX Cloud Alpha is one of the most highly-rated gaming headsets on the market right now (and for good reason). The sound quality alone won't be able to outperform “headphones for music only”, but they'll definitely exceed your expectations for gaming.
To update, you first have to detach the USB sound card from the headset and then plug the dongle into a PC that has the Windows 10, 8.1, 8 or 7 operating systems. Launch the updater that you downloaded and then follow the on-screen instructions to update the firmware.
And out of the box, the HyperX Cloud II has the same great sound. The inline controls are actually where Kingston's improved most on the original Cloud. The USB soundcard features big rockers for both headset and mic volume, as well as a 7.1 toggle and mic mute.
Your HyperX Cloud 2 mic may not be working because it's disabled or not set as the default device on your computer. To re-enable it and set it as the default device: 1) Hold down the Windows logo key and press the R key on your keyboard at the same time to bring up the Run dialog, then type “control” and press Enter.
1) Check whether your mic boom is not loose. Unplug your headset from your PS4 controller, then disconnect the mic boom by pulling it straight out of the headset and plug the mic boom back in. Then re-plug your headset into your PS4 controller again. 1) Connect your PS4 headset with mic into the PS4 controller.
Distinguished. When you press the 7.1 button in the middle of the controller, it should glow red. This means its on, and when you press it again, the LED will turn off, and it will go back to stereo sound. Try playing a game and pressing the button, you should be able to hear a noticeable difference.
The HyperX Cloud II works with both PCs and Macs as well as gaming consoles including the PS4 and Xbox One. You'll need a USB connection, however, to take advantage of the sound card and its 7.1 surround sound.
No apple headphone old or new will work correctly with newer ds4 controllers. Pick up the ps vita headphones from amazon. They work great. The old ones that look like regular headphones still work.
- Connect the Headset to a USB port on the PS4.
- Connect the RCA splitter cable to red and white 'AUDIO OUT' outputs on the back of your TV, or to the PS4 DAC.
- Go to Settings > Sound and Screen > Audio Output Settings > Primary Output Port.
- Go to Settings > Sound and Screen > Audio Output Settings > Primary Output Port.
The PlayStation 4 is an awesome games console, but it does have one or two missing features. One of them is the ability to use any Bluetooth headset – you can only use a few official and licensed options. Thankfully, there's an accessory to solve that: the PS4 Bluetooth Headset Dongle.
Connect a Bluetooth headset
- Boot up your PS4 and go to Settings, then go to Devices.
- Select Bluetooth devices.
- Follow the pairing instructions for your Bluetooth headset.
- Select the headset when the device becomes visible in the list of Bluetooth devices.
- In the menu, adjust the sound settings.
By connecting the headset via a USB port, the computer does not require an analogue microphone input or speaker output. The headset itself adapts to the digital USB standard. When plugging it in, the computer automatically recognises the USB headset and install the necessary drivers.
The Turtle Beach P4C, Recon 50P, Recon 60P, PX24, and Elite Pro Tournament Gaming Headset all use a standard 3.5mm connection to the PS4™'s DualShock controller and will continue to work great with the original PS4™, as well as the new PS4™ Pro and new, slimmer PS4™ when they become available.
Most standard Bluetooth headphones are not compatible with the PS4, so you will need to make sure you have Bluetooth headphones that are specifically geared to the PS4. Some Bluetooth headphones come with a special dongle that you need to plug in to the controller or console to properly connect to your PS4.
