Click the “Manage your credentials” option at the top left. Select the Windows Credentials type and you'll see the list of credentials you have saved for network share, remote desktop connection or mapped drive. Click one of the entries in the list and expand it, you can then click the Remove option to clear it.
when you type in \computershare it'll prompt you for credentials. enter your user admin account and password there and it will let you in.
Connect Network Drive
- Click Start, and then click Run .
- In the Open box, type cmd to open command line window.
- Type the following, replacing Z: with drive letter you want to assign to the shared resource: net use Z: \computer_nameshare_name /PERSISTENT:YES.
Right-click the Public
folder and select Properties. 2. Click the

Step 2:
- Open 'My computer'.
- On the tool bar, click on 'Map Network Drive'.
- Then under folder, enter your network drive's name followed by the folder name.
You can override stored
credentials for
shares in
Windows via the Control Panel.
Under Windows Credentials:
- If the server in question has an entry, delete it.
- Select Add a Windows Credential.
- Enter the server (e.g. \10.0.
- Enter new desired credentials.
Password protect Windows 10 files and folders
- Using File Explorer, right-click on a file or folder you want password protected.
- Click on Properties at the bottom of the context menu.
- Click on Advanced…
- Select “Encrypt contents to secure data” and click on Apply.
Map a Drive-Windows 10
- Right-Click the start menu and select File Explorer or click the manila folder icon in the taskbar.
- Click This PC then select Computer at the top left of the window.
- Choose Map a Network Drive.
- Enter the address of the 'Folder' to which you would like to map:
Open
File Explorer and then open
User profile folder.
Then try to disable the Default Administrator account.
- Press Windows Key + X Key.
- Click on Command Prompt(Admin).
- Type the following command and hit on Enter Key: net user administrator /active:no.
- Then Restart your Computer.
There's probably a better way to do it but if you go to c:windows , find explorer.exe , Shift+right click and the option "Run as different user" will be there.
Here, look for explorer.exe and right-click it. From the context menu, select Run as administrator and File Explorer will launch with admin rights. You can also run File Explorer with admin rights from the Task Manager.
Open File Explorer and browse to the executable file you wish to run as different user. Simply hold down the Shift key and right-click on the executable file, select Run as different user from the context menu. Next you have to enter the user name and the password of the user which we want use to open the application.
You can launch IE using different user using following command "runas /user:DomainUsername """C:Program FilesInternet Exploreriexplore.exe"""". You will need to use TBox Start Program module to launch the command prompt and run the command. The mentioned command launches IE using the specified user.
Best options are VPN, SFTP server with secured keys, or if you have Office365, a shared OneDrive folder with locked-down permissions. You can sync the OneDrive to your computers, access it from a browser, or both.
Resolution
- Open the shared drive in File Explorer.
- Navigate to the folder in question.
- Click on the white space on the right side of the folder path.
- Copy this information and paste it into Notepad.
- Press the windows key + r at the same time.
- Type "cmd" into the Run box and press OK.
Windows 10
- In the search box in the Windows taskbar, enter two backslashes followed by the IP address of the computer with the shares you want to access (for example \192.168.
- Press Enter.
- If you want to configure a folder as a network drive, right-click it and select "Map network drive" from the context menu.
Follow these steps to run a network path trace:
- Open the Start menu and select Run.
- Type cmd and select OK.
- This will open the command prompt.
- You should see the traffic path taken to your site.
- Don't worry about understanding the output.
- Paste the output to an email and send it to the appropriate support personnel.
Create network shared folder on Windows 8
- 1, Open Explorer, select the folder you want to make it as network shared folder, right click the folder then select Properties.
- 3, in File Sharing page, select Create a new user in drop down menu.
- 4, Choose Manage another account in the new window.
- 5, Select Add a new user in PC settings.
If you're trying to share a folder with your friend (without using the homegroup) the username and password would be the one you use to login to your computer (I recommend you create a new user account specifically for sharing in this case).
Connection Hub
- Open a web browser.
- When prompted, enter the Connection Hub username (the default is admin).
- Enter the Connection Hub password (the default is admin).
- Click OK.
- Click Wireless.
- The wireless settings are displayed, including the network name (SSID) and password.
