In some cases, "Windows stuck on loading screen" issue is caused by Windows update or other problems. At this time, you can enter the Safe Mode, do nothing and then reboot your computer. So, you can uninstall that antivirus software in Safe Mode, and then restart your computer to verify whether it is normal.
If Windows 7 won't boot properly and doesn't show you the Error Recovery screen, you can get into it manually. First, power the computer completely down. Next, turn it on and keep pressing the F8 key as it boots. You'll see the Advanced Boot Options screen, which is where you would launch Safe Mode from.
System Recovery Options in Windows 7
- Restart your computer.
- Press F8 before the Windows 7 logo appears.
- At the Advanced Boot Options menu, select the Repair your computer option.
- Press Enter.
- System Recovery Options should now be available.
You access the Advanced Boot Menu by pressing F8 after the BIOS power-on self-test (POST) finishes and makes a hand-off to the operating system boot loader. Follow these steps to use the Advanced Boot Options menu: Start (or restart) your computer. Press F8 to invoke the Advanced Boot Options menu.
Step 1: Restart your Windows 7 computer and hold on pressing F8 to enter Advanced Boot Options. Step 2: Choose Safe Mode with Command Prompt in the coming screen and press Enter. Step 3: In pop-up command prompt window, type net user and hit Enter. Then all Windows 7 user accounts would be listed in the window.
Turn on the computer and immediately begin pressing the F8 key repeatedly. From the Windows Advanced Options Menu, use the arrow keys to select Safe Mode, and press ENTER. The computer will automatically exit Safe Mode when it is shut down.
In both Windows Vista and Windows 7, users may restart their computer through the Start menu using the following steps:
- Click Start in the lower-left corner of the Windows desktop.
- Locate and click the right arrow (shown below) next to the Shut down button.
- Select Restart from the menu that appears.
Shut down your system and then connect the recovery drive. On the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart. Once restarted, press F5 to select Safe Mode with Networking.
We'll look at some things that can cause a black or blank screen: Connection problems with your monitor or screen. Display adapter driver update issues. Issues with recent system updates or installations.
Here's how to do it:
- Make sure your computer is off. Then press the power button to turn it on.
- Press the F8 key after you see the computer logo screen and before the Windows logo.
- Then the Advanced Boot Options menu will show up.
- Wait for a while for Windows 7 to starts.
Method 5: Check the Remove background setting under the Ease of Access settings
- Click Start, Control panel, Ease of Access, and then click Ease of Access Center.
- Under Explore all settings, click Make the computer easier to see.
- Make sure that the option to Remove background images not selected.
Fix 1: Hard reset your laptop
- Turn off your laptop.
- Remove the power, hard drives, the battery and any attached peripheral devices.
- Press and hold the power button for 60 seconds and release.
- Put your battery in and plug the charger. Then don't plug anything else.
- Boot your laptop again to see if it works now.
How to Boot in Safe Mode from a Black Screen
- Press your computer's power button to turn your PC on.
- While Windows is starting, hold down the power button again for at least 4 seconds.
- Repeat this process of turning your computer on and off with the power button 3 times.
Android device users should start by holding down the power button on your device for five to seven seconds, which should restart it. If the device hasn't been charged, there might be a problem with its power cord, adapter, or even the electrical outlet. If the device has power, you may have a problem with the screen.
Pressing the F8 key at just the right time during startup can open a menu of advanced boot options. Restarting Windows 8 or 10 by holding the Shift key down while you click the “Restart” button also works. But sometimes, you need to restart your PC into Safe Mode several times in a row.
Common boot up issues are caused by the following: software that was installed incorrectly, driver corruption, an update that failed, abrupt power outage and the system did not shut down properly. Let's not forget registry corruption or virus' / malware infections that can completely mess up a computer's boot sequence.
Unplug the power supply from the electrical outlet, followed by the DC connection from the back of the PC. If the LED light on the power supply is not lit, then it may be bad.To verify, use a known working external power supply from another machine of the same model, if possible.
Disconnect the power cord from the back of the computer. With the power off and the power cord disconnected, press the Power button on the computer for 5 seconds. Reconnect the power cord and turn on the computer. If the computer starts, troubleshooting is complete.
If you cannot enter the BIOS setup during boot, follow these steps to clear the CMOS:
- Turn off all peripheral devices connected to the computer.
- Disconnect the power cord from the AC power source.
- Remove the computer cover.
- Find the battery on the board.
- Wait one hour, then reconnect the battery.
Windows 7
- Insert the Media (DVD/USB) in your PC and restart.
- Boot from the media.
- Select Repair Your Computer.
- Select the operating system, and click next.
- Choose Command Prompt from the menu: Type and run the command: diskpart. Type and run the command: sel disk 0. Type and run the command: list vol.
Restore without installation CD/DVD
- Turn on the computer.
- Press and hold the F8 key.
- At the Advanced Boot Options screen, choose Safe Mode with Command Prompt.
- Press Enter.
- Log in as Administrator.
- When Command Prompt appears, type this command: rstrui.exe.
- Press Enter.
Navigate to Settings > Update & Security > Recovery. You should see a title that says "Reset this PC." Click Get Started. You can either select Keep my files or Remove everything. The former resets your options to default and removes uninstalled apps, like browsers, but keeps your data intact.
