HDMI is renowned for its video quality, but it also can carry audio without the need for multiple cables. HDMI supports Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD for 7.1-channel sound for loss-less, theatre-quality audio.
No sound or audio from the source device when connected to the TV with an HDMI cable. If you have an Android TV™, check the HDMI® signal format in the TV menu settings. If it is set to Enhanced, change it to Standard.
Connecting to a Bluetooth Audio Device
- Turn on the projector.
- Press the Menu button.
- Select the Settings menu and press Enter.
- Select HDMI Link and press Enter.
- Select Audio Out Device and press Enter.
- Select Projector and press Enter.
- Press Esc until you return to the Settings menu.
- Select Bluetooth and press Enter.
- Right-click the Volume icon by the time in the lower-right corner.
- Click Playback Devices, the Sound window opens.
- On the Playback tab, click Digital Output Device (HDMI) if it is listed. If it is not listed, click on HDMI Output. Device (HDMI) selection.
- Click Set Default and choose Apply.
Simultaneously pressing the Windows Logo Key and the "P" Key on your laptop's keyboard will display the following: Select Duplicate to have the laptop image appear on both your laptop screen and on the room's LCD projector or TV. You may need to adjust your laptop's resolution for an optimal image.
Make sure the volume is turned up on both the Netflix.com player and your computer. If you're watching on a browser, ensure your tab isn't muted by looking for the mute icon on the Netflix tab while your video is playing. If your tab is muted, right-click on it and select Unmute Tab or Unmute Site.
PCM: This stands for “pulse-code modulation.” Use this setting if the external device you've connected to the HDMI port has already processed the sound, and you just want it to come out of your TV's speakers.
Most projectors include an Audio Out port that allows you to connect external audio equipment with standard connection cables. Once the connection is made, the internal speakers will disengage on the projector to avoid conflicting with the sound from the speakers.

- Connect. Connect your mobile device to the projector's network.
- Launch. Launch the app and select the connected projector.
- Project. Select the web page, document or photo you'd like to project, and you're ready to go!
Press the Source Search button to switch to the correct input source, if necessary. Check your computer or video source to make sure the volume is turned up and the audio output is set for the correct source. Check the audio cable connections between the projector and your video source.
Shutting Off the Picture and Sound Temporarily
- Press the A/V Mute button on the remote control to temporarily stop projection and mute any sound.
- To turn the picture and sound back on, press A/V Mute again.
If the "No Signal" message appears, try the following solutions: Press the Source button on the projector repeatedly to cycle through the available sources. Wait a few seconds for an image to appear. If necessary, turn the projector and the connected computer or video source off and then on again.
You can use the remote control to control certain features of devices connected to the projector's HDMI port.
- Press the Menu button on the projector or remote control.
- Select the Settings menu and press Enter.
- Select the HDMI Link setting and press Enter.
- Select HDMI Link and press Enter.
- Select On and press Esc.
PC
- You can use the USB Display feature to display the same image on your computer and the projection screen.
- Connect an HDMI splitter to the source and connect HDMI cables from the splitter to the projector and an HDMI monitor.
- With a laptop, connect an HDMI or VGA cable to the projector and laptop.
These are the most common reasons you may be seeing the "No Signal" message: The projector and the source device are not connected correctly. Check that the cables and adapters are firmly plugged in. Check that you are using the proper cable and/or adapter to connect your source device to the projector.
Connecting to a Computer for USB Video and Audio
- Turn on your computer.
- Connect the cable to your projector's USB-B port.
- Connect the other end to any available USB port on your computer.
- Do one of the following: Windows 7/Windows Vista: Select Run EMP_UDSE.exe in the dialog box that appears to install the EPSON USB Display software.
Connecting to a ProjectorBefore connecting to your projector, make sure that both your Android device and Epson projector have Wi-Fi enabled. If your projector uses an Advanced wireless connection, open the Epson iProjection App by tapping the iProjection icon on your device's home screen.
The most common cause of this error is a loose cable. Reattach the cable running from your monitor to your PC. If the monitor is still not displaying a signal after firmly reattaching the cable, the problem could lie with the cable, especially if the cable has visible damage.
