a BT Wi-Fi account, or if you've got BT Broadband or BT Mobile, use your usual sign-in details.
- Activate wi-fi on your device.
- Search for wi-fi hotspots.
- Connect to BTWi-fi or _BTWi-fi.
- Open your internet browser.
- Select BT Wi-Fi and enter your BTID username and password.
- Log in with your details.
If you're typing in the correct BT ID username and password and you still can't log into the My BT app, try logging in on BT.com using a browser. If you still can't log in, please get in touch.
Connect another device to your phone's hotspot
- On the other device, open that device's list of Wi-Fi options.
- Pick your phone's hotspot name.
- Enter your phone's hotspot password.
- Click Connect.
The documentation for the Wireless Network says that the maximum distance (out of doors in ideal conditions) is 250m.
Forgotten your BT ID username? This is usually your email address. If you've forgotten your username, you can get a reminder by following the steps in the link below. You'll need your email address, phone number and the answer to the security question you chose when you set up the account.
1. Select 'wireless connection' from the TV's internet settings and search for wireless networks. 2. The TV shows a list of available connections and then select BT WiFi, in my case BT WiFi with FON.
- On your iPhone or iPad, go to the wi-fi settings and make sure wi-fi is switched to ON.

- Click on the Check Status link on the left of the page.
- Enter your @btinternet.com email address and password and click on the Check Status button.
- Scroll down to the opt-out section.

BT Broadband connection problems
- Check your service status.

1 Make sure the extender or the hotspot is plugged in and the power socket's switched on. 2 Press the Link button on the extender for more than 15 seconds or the Reset button on the hotspot for 1 second to restore factory default settings. Give it a couple of minutes.
You could have been disconnected from BT Wi-fi for various reasons: You might have moved out of range. The wi-fi signal you connected to has been switched off. If you're using a voucher, it's expired.
Re: Bt wifi with fon option disappeared in my streetThis either means they have bought a third party router, which will not transmit the BT wifi signal. Or the BT wifi has been disabled on the account. Or they may have switched providers. Not a lot you can do about it.
Turn your hub off and then on againTry turning your hub off and on again. Leave it switched off for five minutes to refresh your connection. If you have an Openreach modem, try restarting it.
BT FON hotspots can appear as BT Openzone hotspots in your list of WiFi networks. These aren't included within EE WiFi plans at the moment so you may occasionally see a message saying that EE WiFi is unable to authenticate with a BT Openzone hotspot.
