Open the Google Maps app. Either search for an address or scroll around the map until you find the location you want. Long-press on the screen to drop a pin. The address or location will pop up at the bottom of the screen.
What does this mean? When you drop a pin in your exact location, you're saving the GPS coordinates of that spot. That way, when you share it with your friend, you're telling them exactly where you are - not the nearest street address (which might be miles away).
Share a map or location
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app .
- Search for a place. Or, find a place on the map, then touch and hold to drop a pin.
- At the bottom, tap the place's name or address.
- Tap Share .
- Choose the app where you want to share the link to the map.
Your PIN is a 4- or 5-digit number that identifies you as an authorized Google Fiber customer. If you haven't signed up for Fiber yet, you'll be asked to create a unique 5-digit PIN during the sign-up process. Your Google Fiber PIN is not to be confused with your Google Account PIN.
To add a label, follow the steps below. Search for an address. Or drop a pin by tapping and holding a place on the map. At the bottom, tap the name of the place.

How to Send Your Location to a Friend on an Android Phone
- Long-press your current location on the map. To see your current location, tap the Location icon in the lower right corner of the Maps app screen.
- Tap the card, and then tap the Share icon.
- Choose the app to share the location.
- Use the selected app to complete the process of sending your location to someone else.
In your phone's Settings, tap Developer Options, then tap Select mock location app. Tap GPS Joystick. You can open Google Maps or a similar app to see if your location is now updated. It may take a few moments for your faked location to appear on other people's phones.

To edit a KMZ file, you can open it in Google Earth, right-click it in the Places Pane, choose Copy from the menu, and paste the contents into a text editor.
edit a path - Google Earth Community. Hi Simon, to edit a path, right click it in the Places panel and select "Properties". You can also left click and drag a point to a new location. If you want to delete a line, select it in the Places panel and use the delete key on the keyboard, or right click and select "Delete".

You can use the measure distance tool and the line draw tool to check line of sight between 2 points on Google Earth.
- Use the ruler tool to measure the distance between the two points.
- The ruler tool will show you the distance and the azimuth between the two points.
- Click 'Save' on the ruler tool.
