eBooks do not typically include back covers. The purpose of the back cover is to entice readers to purchase your book. With eBooks, the readers will not see the back cover until after they have already purchased it.
Ideal dimensions for cover files are 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. Note: The minimum image size allowed is 1,000 x 625 pixels. The maximum image size allowed is 10,000 x 10,000 pixels. Your cover image must be less than 50MB.
The first-generation Kindle offers 2GB of storage, sufficient to store about 1,400 books, according to Amazon.com. The Kindle Touch doubles the storage capacity to 4GB and can hold about 3,000 books.
Open your e-book PDF. Select "Document," "Pages" and then "Insert." Go to "Insert Dialogue" and click "Select." Select your jpeg cover image. Choose where in the e-book file you want your cover graphic to appear, when the "Insert Pages Dialogue" box appears.

Right click the ebook in the Calibre Library list and select Send to Device > Send to Main Memory. Wait for it. Disconnect your Kindle and check to see if the cover is there.
Calibre is a free, open-source e-book manager that lets users convert EPUB files to Kindle-readable MOBI files. Here's how to use it: Download and install Calibre. When you first run it, Calibre will ask what language you want to use, and to select a folder to use as your e-book library.
Uploading a cover manually
- Right click the e-book in the library and select “Edit metadata -> Edit metadata individually.”
- Once you see the pop-up box on your screen, click “Browse.”
- After choosing the desired image, simply click “OK”
Long press on the title you want to remove from device. Make sure you are looking at device not all if you have removed something. Now if you want to delete them from your account, you have to go to manage my content and devices on the Amazon website.
Once you check the book out you are sent to an Amazon Kindle page, where a button appears that lets you borrow the book. Borrowed Kindle books can be managed the same as purchased books, and delivered wireless to any device. The books expire automatically after 2 or 3 weeks, and cannot be renewed.

- Delete the library book from Amazon's Manage my content and devices, available from your Amazon account page. Use the actions button and choose Delete from the menu that pops up.
- On your Kindle or Kindle app, delete the library book or Loan Ended letter associated with the expired book.
Hide books in the Kindle app
The Kindle app on the iPhone does not let you delete books. However, they can be hidden. Books that are stored on the device have a tick icon. It's true that authors almost never contractually have approval over their covers, though they do sometimes have something called “consult” or “consultation” (often negotiated into the contract by an agent).

The essential elements of a front cover include title and author name. Optional elements include the subtitle (if there is one) and photos, background images or graphics.
The front cover is the front of the book, and is marked appropriately by text or graphics in order to identify it as such (namely as the very beginning of the book). The front cover usually contains at least the title or author, with possibly an appropriate illustration.
