A newly released eBay Feedback Revision process allows sellers to send a request to buyers who have left negative or neutral feedback. You're limited to 5 requests per 1,000 feedback received.
Because we don't know when a buyer has actually paid, buyers are allowed to continue using eBay as they normally would, and that includes leaving Feedback. However, eBay will remove any neutral or negative Feedback left by the buyer in any of these cases: The buyer doesn't respond to the unpaid item process.
Refunding has nothing to do with feedback. If you have tracking showing it was delivered then it can be removed.
Sellers aren't able to leave negative or neutral Feedback for buyers. That means sellers need other tools that will protect them against unfair treatment from buyers and bring those buyers to eBay's attention. You can block buyers with too many policy violations, unpaid items, or who aren't registered with PayPal.
Negative feedback doesn't affect how eBay measures a seller's performance. For its part, eBay is more concerned with a seller's defect and late shipment rates and whether they have cases that were closed without resolution than the buyer reviews.
Go to the listing and choose Report item, which you'll find next to the Description and Postage & payments options. On the File a report page, select Price gouging in the Report category field. In the Reason for report field, select Price gouging. Select an option from the Detailed reason field and then Submit report.
PP can see if the person has been making several separate claims of unauthorized use and can pass that along to the CC companies involved. Ebay reporting maybe does something, although if the buyers CC company receives too many claims of unauthorized use that the buyer loses, they will take care of the problem.
Ebay will remove the negative feedback from buyers when the sellers are top sellers or have sold thousands of items because Ebay profits from those sellers.
Overall though, the best way to encourage buyers to leave feedback is to be exceptional in all aspects of your service:
- Pack items securely.
- Ship and confirm quickly.
- Provide accurate tracking numbers.
- Answer all questions from your customers.
- Do your best to resolve any negative customer experiences.
It is highly advised to not ask buyers for feedback. Feedback is voluntary, and asking for it may get you the kind of feedback you don't want.
No, you can't retract a positive feedback. And the negative follow-up you left is in violation of the feedback policy. You can't put anything negative on a buyer's profile. If reported, eBay will remove that follow-up and you may receive a policy violation warning.
No, no feedback can be left after 60 days. The time limit for leaving feedback was reduced from 90 days to 60 days many years ago. eBay does not make exceptions to the 60-day deadline.
No. Your not supposed to give any form of poor feedback to a buyer. The buyer can contact ebay support and get it removed however. You would get dinged for giving it however, So, you might not want to suggest that to the buyer.
