Open a desktop browser and log in to Google Calendar. Click the gear icon (top right of the screen for me) and open Settings. Under "Settings for my calendars" choose your default calendar. Scroll down to "General Notifications" and change the "New Events" dropdown to "email"
Tap the calendar you wish to remove and then tap 'Delete Account'. Google Calendar/Android: Log into Google Calendar with your Google Account. Click Settings, then click the Calendars tab. Find the calendar subscription you wish to remove and click 'Unsubscribe'.
Via the Android app
Head over to the Google Calendar app on your phone, then open the menu drawer. At the bottom, tap Settings, and in the new menu choose Events from Gmail. From here, you'll have the option to individually turn off “Events from Gmail” for each of your Google Accounts.Here's how to make this so:
- Open up your Google Calendar.
- Click on the Gear icon.
- Click Settings.
- Select the calendar to be configured.
- Scroll down to Event notifications.
- Click the drop-down and select the type of notification you want to set (Figure B)
- Configure the time associated with the alert.
Existing users need to change notification settings manually. Go to Google Calendar Settings. Go to the Event settings section and choose desktop notifications as the notification type. This sets up Google Calendar to show Desktop Notifications.
Change view settings
- On your computer, open Google Calendar.
- At the top right corner, click Settings. Settings.
- At the left, click View options.
- Choose your settings. Changes are automatically saved.
Supposedly, the red badge that shows up on the Calendar icon in the app switcher (and the Dock, if anyone still uses that) represents invitations that you've not dealt with.

How to turn off Google Sync on an Android device
- On the main Android home screen find and tap Settings.
- Select "Accounts and Backup".
- Tap "Accounts" or select the Google account name if it appears directly.
- Select "Sync Account" after selecting Google from the accounts list.

Delete an account from the Mail and Calendar apps
- In either the Mail or Calendar apps, choose Settings in the lower-left corner. Note: If you're using a phone or tablet, choose More. at the bottom of the page to see the Settings option.
- Choose Manage Accounts, and then choose the account that you want to remove.
Reset Google Calendar / Clearing All Events from Google Calendar
- On the left-hand sidebar, click the 3 vertical dots next to the calendar you want to delete all events.
- Click on the option for settings.
- Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the calendar settings.
- Click Remove calendar > Delete > Delete permanently.

There two options available: Users copy the appointments that they want reminders for to their own calendar. They can either open the appointment and click the Copy to My Calendar button or drag and drop a copy to their calendar.
