Wild Piñatas are attracted to your garden, by meeting the right conditions for each species to appear. For example, specific flowers and trees, or piñatas that already reside in your garden, can capture the interest of a Wild Pinata.
Resident requirements: Have 2 mushrooms in the garden. Has eaten one Red Flutterscotch. Other information: As a sour, it attacks your flowers. If you tame it, the Profitamole will eat up the patches of dirt from a Mine.
After reaching level 12 in Viva Piñata, a beggar by the name of Ivor Beggar roams around the garden and Lottie asks the player to get rid of him, after which the player can donate chocolate coins to him.
To tame a sour piñata it must first run its course in the garden. It will spew up sour candies, pick fights, or eat a piñata. Once it has done that it should perform the task required for residency. Once a Tower of Sour block is added, only non-sour piñata of that species will visit the garden.
Candiosity is the amount of candy a Piñata has. It can be increased by eating more Candy. When full the piñata can be sent to a party to be bashed up. The Candiosity level of a piñata is scanned by the Candiosity Meter installed near the Cannoñata.
Variants -
- Feeding it a pumpkin will change its colour to yellow.
- Feeding it a water Lilly flower will change its colour to pink.
- Feeding it a gooseberry seed will change its colour to green.
The Lantern O' Loot is a decoration that can be purchased from Ivor Bargain. It can only be purchased from Costolot's Store in the Trouble in Paradise. Placing a Lantern O' Loot near a Mine will allow Diggerlings to find something more valuable. It also increases the value of dug up chocolate coins by five times.
Plants and flowers need 3 doses of fertilizer, which you can apply immediately. Trees and bushes generally require a dose to be applied whenever its blossoms are about to bud/burst. You'll generally find more specific details at each tree or bush article. Fertilizer needs to be applied before the plant is done growing.
Variants
- If you feed Whirlm a turnip changes, it changes Whirlm's color to a dark purple.
- If you feed Whirlm a lily seed changes, it changes Whirlm's color to pink.
- If you feed Whirlm a watercress seed, it changes Whirlm's color to green.
A yellow and orange Desert Buzzenge can be obtained by trapping it in the Desert, then making it resident.

The Cluckles cannot be found in the wild. Instead, it must be
purchased from Paper Pets's Piñata category for 1100 Chocolate Coins after reaching Gardener level 8.

Honey is a produce item made by the Buzzlegum. To make honey, buy a Honey Hive from Willy Builder, then send your Buzzlegum into it after getting it to eat a daisy. The first time you do this an alert should come up telling you that your Buzzlegum is full of honey. Then, redirect the Buzzlegum to the Honey Hive.
Evolution RequirementsFeeding a Buttercup flower to a Sparrowmint evolves it into a Candary.
The Sherbat is a blue bat piñata. No Piñata would be too happy about having a Sour Sherbat (シャーãƒãƒƒãƒˆ ShÄbatto) attached to its neck. So dig out a Jack 'o Lantern and tame one quickly, then put your new Mothdrop-loving pet to work protecting all those sick Piñatas instead!
Different colored Flutterscotches can be obtained by feeding the White Flutterscotch different foods and depending on the food, the player will get a different variant with a completely new color and design.
Species variants for the PretztailFeeding it a bluebell changes its color to blue. Feeding it a water lily changes its color to pink. Feeding it a gooseberry fool changes its color to green. Feeding a bone to a Pretztail turns it into a Pieena (earning the player an achievement).
A tamed Macaraccoon has a special "Find Romance Candy" ability that can by used by selecting it and then selecting the icon that appears next to the Tools Icon. The Macaraccoon will then leave the garden and return with either a Romance Candy or a Happiness Candy.

Requirements (Pocket Paradise)The Kittyfloss cannot be found in the wild. Instead, it must be purchased from Gretchen Fetchem's Pets category for 1500 Chocolate Coins after reaching Gardener level 6. As such, it has no Appear, Visit, or Resident requirements.
