Re: How much money should I bring on a week trip to Seoul? 1000 or about 1 million won is pretty ok for a week, if flight and hotel are paid. If you worry too much, then be ready 500 cash and 500-1000 in your card. It is fine.
How Much Money To Bring To Korea For 7 Days? You should bring at least $200 in cash to use in shops that don't accept card or for emergencies in case you card doesn't work.
Nice portions for as cheap as 1500 WON ($1.4) but it's mostly considered a junk food. If you go to the shopping mall food court after 6pm everything is on offer, so you can save some money. We usually spend around $1000 for two weeks, for two people.
Traveling in those two technology meccas can be quite expensive but one country is truly more expensive than the other, Japan. Finally if you prefer to stay in hotels, South Korea is once again cheaper than Japan, a room for two persons in Seoul will cost around $30, expect to pay at least $45 in Tokyo for a cubicle.
If you are traveling on a budget you can probably get around with 70 000 krw a day but you might not be staying in the nicest hotels or have the best food. For those on a mid range budget, 120 000 krw should be enough and for those on a luxury budget, a minimum of 200 000 krw should be ok.

Is South Korea Expensive? Indeed, while the cost of living in Korea is far from cheap, your trip doesn't have to be exorbitantly expensive. Certain aspects of traveling through Korea (accommodation, always, and usually transport) are going to be pricey, but you can compensate in other areas to equalize your trip cost.
