According to Purple, the 4-inch Hybrid Premier mattress is best for heavier adults as it has an extra inch added to the grid for more pressure relief along with foam and coils for support. This extra deep mattress allows for heavier people to sink into the mattress without sagging.
The Purple rates 6 out of 10 in terms of firmness, and heavier side sleepers might prefer a bed that rates 6.5, 7, or higher instead. Back Sleepers: Some sleepers between 130 and 230 pounds also find a nice mix of support and pressure relief in the Purple, though some might prefer a firmer mattress.
The Purple® Mattress provides just the right firmness for back pain sufferers. This mattress best supports a range of sleeping positions and works well for back, side and stomach sleepers. If you have a partner with a different sleeping style, you'll both be able to get a good night's sleep and wake up feeling great.
The 21 day adjustment period. But for some people, it might take a few weeks for your body to fully adjust to the unique and proper support of the Purple Mattress. Fret not, this is perfectly normal.
May. May is considered the best month to buy a new mattress. Many manufacturers come out with brand new products in June, so retailers have to clear out their inventory before then to make room. This means plenty of promotions and deals on previously full-priced products.

You can use regular sheets for your Purple bed, but they have to be the right kind of regular sheets. The best sheet materials for your Purple mattress include bamboo viscose and cotton. As long as these sheets promote breathability and have the ability to stretch, they should work.
Like most mattress options available, the Purple® Mattress is not bed bug resistant. We suggest a 6-sided mattress protector to keep unwanted bud bugs away!
Latex. Latex models are considered to be the longest-lasting mattresses. On average, such beds can last for around 15 years without losing their properties (2), which explains their higher price point. However, it's important to pay attention to the latex type.

It's possible - but not likely - that a mattress can last 20 years. The longevity of your mattress depends on several factors, including how much wear and tear it undergoes and the quality of its parts. Some mattresses, like memory foams and latex, can last up to 15 years, much longer than the average innerspring.
The Purple® Mattress needs a strong and sturdy base! This can be a platform, box foundation, or an adjustable bed frame — it all works just fine. Keep in mind all slats should be 3" or less apart for the best support. Avoid springs in your foundation to prevent a sagging mattress.
Some Purple customers found that their original mattress began sagging after the first few months. As a result, these sleepers experience increased levels of neck, shoulder, and back pain. The most common complaint was indentation in the top layer. You need only to file a claim, and Purple will get you a new mattress.
If you're a side sleeper, we think all body types from petite to heavy will enjoy the Purple mattress. The top layer of Hyper-Elastic Polymer does a great job of conforming to a side sleeper's body and cradling the hips and shoulders. In fact, Purple made our list for the Best Mattresses For Side Sleepers.
Purple mattresses are designed to cradle where you need it, providing comfort, support and pressure relief for many years. And with our patented Purple Gridâ„¢, you'll never need to worry about adding a mattress topper.
Luckily, Purple mattresses are made with premium materials that are designed to last for years with no flipping necessary. Each mattress comes with a 10-year warranty backing its quality. All Purple mattresses are one-sided and should not be turned over. You can rotate them every three months or so if you like, though.
Purple mattresses are very durable thanks to the gel grid. They should last for approximately 7 to 10 years.
Under normal conditions, mattresses should be replaced every 6 to 8 years. Of course, this is a general guideline and not a one-size-fits-all solution.
Many modern mattresses are one-sided, so flipping your mattress would result in a very uncomfortable night's sleep. All Purple mattresses are one-sided and should not be flipped.
Most mattresses should last between 7 and 10 years. However, there are many variables that can influence mattress lifespan. The original build quality of the mattress, the materials used, and even the weight and sleeping styles of the sleepers can all influence a bed's longevity.
