There's a mini-game game you can play while downloading and installing Star Wars Battlefront. In it, you are Darth Vader.
Battlefront II's singleplayer campaign is a good multiplayer tutorial and a serviceable first-person shooter in its own right, but as a Star Wars experience it's probably beaten only by Lucasarts' 1995 shooter.
Here's how to do it.
- First you need to get the "True Jedi" status on every single one of the 17 levels in the game.
- Completing step 1 unlocks the "?" door next to "Episode III".
- Go through the door and play the "Episode IV" level.
- When you finish the level, Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader) will be unlocked!
DICE is unlocking every Hero and Hero Ship in 'Star Wars: Battlefront 2. In the latest patch, all Heroes will be unlocked for all players from the get-go. You'll no longer have to grind to play Luke Skywalker or Yoda. These classic Star Wars characters will be available to everyone.
The 2005 multiplayer classic Star Wars: Battlefront 2 has had its multiplayer servers come back online. Matches support up to 64 players with Crossplay support between GOG and Steam, although a few more bugs may need to be squashed for some players.
Star Wars Battlefront 3 isn't happening yet because there's “not the same hunger” for sequels. The sci-fi adventure shooter set in Disney's galaxy far, far away still has loot boxes, but you cannot buy them. Instead, they are part of a daily login bonus system. The only microtransactions in Battlefront II are now direct purchase cosmetic items.
To unlock them you simply have to play a lot with a selected class because weapons are unlocked by completing milestones connected to kills with a given class - kill 50 enemies in multiplayer to unlock the first weapon (Strike and Blast modes are the best for that).
