According to the vast majority of scholars and imams, offering a sacrificial animal on Eid Al Adha by non-pilgrims is not considered as obligatory but only a highly recommended act. If, on the other hand, they are performing Haj and Umrah, then sacrifice is obligatory for them.
Eid ul-Adha is another important festival in the Muslim calendar. How do you say Happy Eid? You can use the same greetings for both Eid al-Adha as you do for Eid al-Fitr, which is the smaller festival that takes place at the end of Ramadan. "Eid Mubarak", with an emphysis on the "bar", means blessed celebration and is the most common greeting.
There is NO word “EID” in the whole Quran. There is Friday prayer (Salat) mentioned by name in Quran. But there is NO one word as Eid or Eid Prayer (Salat) is mentioned in the whole Quran.
