Some possible causes could be that you didn't insert the SIM card correctly or your Android device is experiencing a software issue. Whatever the reason, a solution needs to be found quickly when your phone says: “No SIM card detected.”
The SIM & microSD tray is located on the bottom left side of the device. To insert a SIM or microSD card, insert a SIM tool into the small hole to eject the SIM & microSD tray.
Using a paper clip, thumbtack, or a push pinFor those who don't have a SIM tray ejector on hand, the humble paper clip is one of the best alternatives. Just bend one of its ends and you're good to go!
The LG Stylo™ 5 supports microSD memory cards which can be purchased from any Verizon store or online. Ensure the device is powered off. Using the provided tool, pop out the SD / memory card tray (right edge of device).

Many problems can be solved by simply rebooting the device. Turn your LG Stylo 5 off, reboot it and check whether the problem has been solved. If you cannot reboot the device the normal way, you can also force it. To do this, hold down the power and the volume down button simultaneously until the screen goes black.
From your apps list, tap Settings > Network > Mobile networks. Tap Network mode and choose one of the following desired band settings: Automatic LTE/3G/2G.
Settings > Networks > More > Mobile Networks > Network operators > Search > Select your mobile network. Restart your phone. You may also select Network operator automatically until the message Registered on network appears at the bottom of the screen. If this didn't resolve the issue, please proceed to step 5.

If you really want a budget phone with a stylus, and the lack of future Android updates isn't a concern, the Stylo 5 isn't a bad choice. It offers a great design, good performance, and fantastic battery life. There's a lot to like here, even if LG's flavor of Android isn't my personal cup of tea.

How to Find Hidden Apps in the App Drawer
- From the app drawer, tap the three dots in the upper-right corner of the screen.
- Tap Hide apps.

Another way to determine whether your phone is unlocked is by inserting a SIM card from another carrier and seeing if you can make a call. If your call successfully connects, then your phone is unlocked and should work with other SIM cards.
