Sorry yes it's worth it. I do have strong healthy hair but I also use bleach I only use it every 10 days or so so does seem to last ages. Comb it through clean washed hair and leave overnight. Wash out and condition over in the morning.
The main difference between Olaplex 2 and 3 is that Olaplex 2 is used at the salon and the Olaplex is an aftercare treatment, which means it's meant to be used at home. This makes it clear how the two should be used. With Olaplex 3, you can apply it yourself and you don't need professional knowledge to do so.
Are there risks with using Olaplex “too often”? Apparently no. Olaplex cannot damage your hair, no matter how often you use it. Some users have reported that when they use it for long periods, the amount of time it requires to “take effect” will climb and climb.
4 and No. 5 are both formulated with patented OLAPLEX Bond Building Chemistry to restore, repair and hydrate the hair without adding excess weight. They also reduce damage and frizz for strong, healthy, shiny hair.
OLAPLEX No.6 & No.7Our favourite combo is Bond Smoother and Bonding Oil together. Start with a 5 cent coin sized amount of No. 6 in the palm of your hand, then follow by adding a few drops of No. 7 Bonding Oil (add more for extra shine depending on your texture).
Kenyon explains that by repairing broken bonds, Olaplex is returning your hair to its natural state. That means it will help reduce frizz, dullness, and even make curls more defined.
Remember, Olaplex works from the inside out to repair broken hair bonds. It's recommended you use Olaplex No. 3 no more frequently than once a week, but you can also use it less frequently based on your needs. The results experienced from Olaplex are permanent, so the reconnected hair bonds won't break on their own.
Olaplex 6 and 7 contain high quality silicones.
Olaplex does contain some protein, but not enough to be considered a hard protein treatment. It is a bond builder meant to "relink the broken disulfide bonds caused by chemical, thermal, and mechanical damage to the hair.", according to the brand's site, olaplex.com.
Olaplex says that leaving it on for longer (up to 45 minutes, at which point the product loses efficacy) won't cause any damage to the hair, though leaving it in overnight is not recommended as it could end up in your eyes.
No. 0 can certainly works on it's own and will provide repair; however, the product is intended to work as a two-part process. OLAPLEX technology works best when the product is wet in the hair. 3 over it, keeps the hair damp so both products can continue to work during the process.
Olaplex helps with hair growth. Your hair strands can be damaged after a treatment like bleaching, preventing them from growing. Olaplex can help prevent them from being damaged and can promote hair health. Healthy hair is growing hair.
Please note that the Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector is not a 'leave-in' conditioner. An Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector treatment should always be followed by a thorough rinse and shampoo.
