If you haven't already played Sun/Moon, there's probably not much point playing them before Ultra Sun/Moon, unless you'd like to play both for the completionist within you. However, if you do decide to play Sun/Moon first, it's definitely worth getting Ultra Sun/Moon, to experience the differences.
The story is entirely different to the originalThe original Sun and Moon story focused on the adventures of Lillie and her Pokémon companion Cosmog while Ultra Sun and Moon focuses its story on other dimensions and an expanded universe.
Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are incredibly fun games, but it's questionable if they're worth spending any money on. I'd say the games are definitely worth your time if you've skipped the previous games, or if you're reading this review a year or two after Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon's release and you miss Pokemon.
Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are the latest games to fill that role. While they're perfectly serviceable both as the newest Pokémon RPGs and as superior versions of last year's Sun and Moon, they're also perfectly serviceable.
Its clear that Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon will have way more Pokémon along with never-before-seen Ultra Beasts and exclusive legendaries. These include new obtainable Totem Pokemon, mysterious Ultra Beasts UB Adhesive and UB Burst, and forms such as Dusk Mane Necrozma, Dawn Wings Necrozma, and Dusk Form Lycanroc.
It's not worth that price then. USUM were pretty fun, I think the story was a strong point which is kind of an unpopular opinion It's different enough from the original Sun/Moon to be worth playing, and the Mantine Surf and Ultra Wormhole games are pretty fun.
But while I wouldn't call Sun and Moon the best Pokémon games, they're far from being the worst. The post game is a decent length (more than XY, less than ORAS), the story is deep and the trials are a refreshing change of pace. If someone does not play the game for the story, this game loses a lot of it's charm.
Ultra Sun players will tangle with Dulse and Zossie, while Ultra Moon fans get to meet Phyco and Soliera. And that's it really! Beyond those differences, Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are still the same core games at heart.
The 10 Best Pokémon in Sun & Moon
- Toucannon.
- Bewear.
- Vikavolt.
- Lycanroc (Midnight Form)
- Palossand.
- Golisopod.
- Metagross. Metagross is a Steel/Psychic Pokémon that has strong defenses against just about everything.
- Kommo-o. A lot of these Pokémon are beasts you can acquire fairly early in the game with only a modicum of hassle.
Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are neither very different from each other, nor from last year's Pokémon Sun and Moon. It's worth highlighting the exclusive content that both games do have, however — especially if you're trying to decide if checking them out after beating Sun and Moon is worth your while.
The new Pokémon series will begin November 17, after the conclusion of the Sun and Moon anime in Japan. The dub of the anime is about 20 episodes behind, so the English series won't air until the beginning of 2020. Sunday's episode began the battle between Ash and Kakui.
81 new Pokémon were introduced for Sun and Moon, bringing the known total from 721 to 802.
'Pokémon Ultra Sun' and 'Moon' Will Let You Catch Every Legendary Pokémon. Collecting every Pokémon ever within one game just got a little bit easier, because in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, you'll be able to capture Legendaries from every main Pokémon game ever.
Coming from my Moon, Ultra is definitely harder. Went with Ultra Sun this time around and the storyline is definitely different, added characters, arcs, battles, locales and minigames so there's no way anyone who's played will tell you it's the same game.
Lunala wins the Special Attack with 137, compared to 113 on Solgaleo. Specially Defensive, Lunala takes it with 107 to 89. Lunala is better as a Special Attacker and Special Bulk, while Solgaleo is better Physically. They have equal Base Stat Totals, so they are both very good.
Pokémon Ultra Sun & Moon Isn't A Sequel, Has A Different Main Story With Other Worlds To Visit.
Your first trials are against Normal and Water-types, which would make Rowlet your best bet. Likewise, there are actually a pretty huge number of Bug-type Pokémon, and Bug / Water-type Pokémon, on the Alolan Islands, which means Rowlet again, thanks to it's Flying-type attacks, the strongest choice in the early game.
Upon release, the games became one of the fastest-selling games in Nintendo's history. To date, Sun and Moon have sold over 16 million copies worldwide, making them the third-best-selling Nintendo 3DS titles, after Mario Kart 7 and their predecessors, Pokémon X and Y.
The Sun measures 1.4 million km across, while the Moon is a mere 3,474 km across. In other words, the Sun is roughly 400 times larger than the Moon. But the Sun also happens to be 400 times further away than the Moon, and this has created an amazing coincidence. And in the far future, the Moon will look much smaller.
You'll need to download a separate emulator for each game console you want to simulate on your PC. For Pokémon, this includes Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, and Nintendo DS. You can also play ROMs online using an online emulator without downloading anything at all.
General DifferencesAs in the original Sun and Moon, the two games are set 12 hours apart. Ultra Sun will reflect the time that is set in your 3DS clock, while Ultra Moon will be 12 hours ahead--meaning if you play during the day, it will be night in the game.
