Pour about ¼ cup of Simple Green All-Purpose Cleaner into the detergent tray, and select the "clean cycle" or "tub clean" setting on your washer. How to Get Motor Oil and Grease Stains Out of Clothes

Rub detergent into stain and soak in cold water. If greasy stain remains, sponge face down on paper towels with a pretreat product. If traces of the stain remain, wash in hot water and chlorine bleach (if safe for fabric). Soak in cold water.

While both cleaners worked to remove the stains, I feel one worked better: BIZ. In the photo above you can see how the napkin cleaned with the BIZ came out a brighter white than the napkin soaked in OxiClean, which came out with a slight yellow tint to it.

Distilled white vinegar is a miracle worker in the laundry room. It is inexpensive, gentle on fabrics, and safer to use than chlorine bleach and fabric softeners. White vinegar is key to removing yellow underarm perspiration stains and odor, removing mildew stains, whitening and brightening your clothes.
The problem with oil stains is that instead of leaving a brightly stained area, they tend to leave a slightly darkened area that may be difficult to notice right away. This area darkens with age unless it is removed quickly. And if the piece of clothing and oil stain dry, the stain can be set permanently.
Baking soda, also called bicarbonate of soda or sodium bicarbonate, lifts stains from fabric. Mix 4 tbsp. of baking soda with 1/4 cup of water to make a general stain remover. Apply baking soda to bad stains and let it sit for three hours before washing (see References 1).

This type of product will dissolve all grease and oil if you soak the clothes first and then wash them in the washer on a warm or hot setting.
