NEW DELHI: The government is believed to have suspended further allocation under the skilling scheme Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY 2.0) in three states including Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan after finding irregularities like fraudulent enrolment of ghost candidates by the franchisee skill centres.
Skill Loan Scheme aims at providing a loan facility to individuals who intend to take up skill development courses. Courses run by above mentioned Training Institutes aligned to National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) shall be covered by the Skill Loan.

Eligibility Criteria for PMKVY Courses
Candidates from almost all the states can get benefited from this scheme. As per the government, any unemployed youth or, school/college dropouts can enroll in this scheme. Applicant must possess an Aadhaar card and a bank account to apply in PMKVY.NSDC or the National Skill Development Corporation was established by the Ministry of Finance as a non-profit public limited company to promote skill development. The New India Assurance Company Ltd has created a master policy for all the candidates who will receive the insurance benefit under PMKVY scheme with a validity of 3-years from the date of certification. A special toll-free helpline has been extended by NIA to address insurer's grievances.
