Nigel Harman (born as Nigel Derek Harman on 11th August, 1973; Purley, Surrey, England) is the actor who played Mr. Green in Downton Abbey. He is most famous for his role as Dennis Rickman in the UK soap opera, EastEnders. He also starred alongside Iain Glen and Geraldine James in City of Vice.

From the beginning Thomas was established as evil. He plotted against one of the most loveable and sympathetic characters, Mr Bates, stole from the house that employed him and manipulated young kitchen-maid Daisy into thinking he fancied her. He was and still is, as some would put it, a wrong-un.
Both Daisy and Mrs. Patmore moved up on the final season of "Downton Abbey." The series ends with Daisy striking up a romance with a handsome young footman and considering moving to a farm with him. And Mrs.
Cora Crawley almost died from the Spanish Flu, which was a worldwide pandemic that lasted roughly from 1918 to 1920. The others afflicted by the illness were Carson, who had a mild attack, and Matthew's fiancé, Lavinia, who died tragically.

spoiler* - it is revealed he has been injecting an expensive placebo of saline, and the unsterilised needles are what is making him ill. With Baxter's help, he approaches Dr Clarkson, who convinces him it's all a load of quackery and he stops the "treatment" immediately.
It has gotten to the point where she is described as 'Poor Edith,' due to the amount of suffering and heartache she goes through. However, this finally ended when Edith married Bertie Pelham, the new Marquess of Hexham when he apologized for his behaviour and asked her to give him another chance.
