Aldi supermarkets have new Benton's cookie products that are very similar to popular Girl Scout Cookies. Benton's Fudge Mint Cookies are close to Girl Scouts' Thin Mints, while the Peanut Butter Filled Cookies and the Caramel Coconut Fudge Cookies are Aldi's versions of Taglongs and Samoas, respectively.
Somewhat unsurprisingly, Thin Mints were both the most popular Girl Scout cookie, scoring the highest number of votes, and the top choice in most states.
First up: Grasshoppers (Alias: Thin Mints). Grasshoppers are Pretend Thin Mints. Only there seems to be a little more outer coating, making them fudgier and more delicious. If you like Girl Scout Thin Mints, you will, indeed, like Keebler Grasshoppers.
Selling so much volume forces the Girl Scouts to use several bakers and try to make sure the product stays as consistent as possible. Since it is getting more and more expensive to run a business or operation, the bakers have to occasionally raise their costs.
