There are two required sections of the SAT: Math and Evidence-Based Reading. Each section is scored between 200 and 800, with 800 being the best possible score. Students also receive a total score, which is the sum of the Math and EBR scores; this sum ranges from 400 to 1600. What is the acceptance rate for Washington State University?

Credit Hour Requirements for Full-time Enrollment

Washington State University considers the SAT Essay/ACT Writing section optional and may not include it as part of their admissions consideration. You don't need to worry too much about Writing for this school, but other schools you're applying to may require it.

High school seniors must apply to the UW by January for fall admissions -- before their final grades are in. The UW checks students' final grades and confirms their course work by reviewing their high school transcripts.
Running Start allows academically qualified students in grades 11-12 to take college courses online or on the campus of the college offering the courses. These programs are offered by many Washington colleges and universities. The UW partners with more than 100 high schools in Washington through UW in the High School.

If you're currently a junior or senior, your GPA is hard to change in time for college applications. If your GPA is at or below the school average of 3.4, you'll need a higher SAT or ACT score to compensate.
The 25th percentile New SAT score is 1420, and the 75th percentile SAT score is 1570. In other words, a 1420 places you below average, while a 1570 will move you up to above average. There's no absolute SAT requirement at Stanford, but they really want to see at least a 1420 to have a chance at being considered.
The average SAT score of admitted students to University of Washington-Seattle Campus is 1245. If you or your child is applying to University of Washington, scoring above 1245 means the SAT is working in your favor. Scoring below 1245 means the SAT is working against you.
The UW accepts the SAT and ACT equally. There is absolutely no advantage in submitting one test over the other. If an applicant submits scores from both tests, national concordance tables determine which scores are relatively higher.
With a GPA of 3.8, University of Washington requires you to be near the top of your class, and well above average. Your transcript should show mostly A's. Ideally, you will also have taken several AP or IB classes to show that you can handle academics at a college level.

Stanford requires that applicants submit an SAT Essay along with the rest of the exam. Since the essay is an optional component of the test, students considering Stanford should take note of this policy.

Go to the UW NetID password reset page. Enter in your UW NetID username and then choose a method to verify your identity. If you choose "Your UW Online Applicant for Admission Identity," then you will be asked to provide your online application username and password.Note: UCLA does not “superscore.” We will use your highest composite score from a single sitting of the ACT plus Writing or SAT with Essay. In order for your test scores to be available in time for our review, all tests must be taken by December of your senior year.
