The film ends with Aurora's tears bringing Maleficent back to life in a Phoenix form, Maleficent giving Aurora her blessing, and a surprisingly happy ending for all involved.
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is an American epic dark fantasy film released on October 18, 2019. As the official sequel to Maleficent, Angelina Jolie returns to portray the titular role of the same name, along with Elle Fanning as Princess Aurora.
Since the original Maleficent came out in May 2014 and the sequel in October 2019, you probably shouldn't expect to see Maleficent 3 before 2024, at the earliest, especially because it hasn't even been officially announced yet.
Maleficent used to be a powerful fairy living in the Moors, a magical forest realm bordering a human kingdom. Devastated by Stefan's betrayal, Maleficent turns the Moors into a dark kingdom and transforms a raven named Diaval to serve her. This is how Maleficent's story began.
Diaval is the tritagonist in the 2014 live action Disney film, Maleficent and also its 2019 sequel Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. He's Maleficent's friend, partner, loyal servant, and pet raven. After being saved by Maleficent as a raven, he agreed to be her servant and act as her "wings."

Angelina Jolie has revealed the reason why her daughter Vivienne, 5, was cast in her new film Maleficent. The 38-year-old admitted she didn't set out for Vivienne to be an actor. However, Vivienne was the only child actor she could find who wasn't terrified of her in costume.
She is represented as an evil fairy and the self-proclaimed "Mistress of All Evil" who, after not being invited to a christening, curses the infant Princess Aurora to "prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel and die" before the sun sets on Aurora's sixteenth birthday.
As a young girl, Maleficent meets and falls in love with a human peasant boy named Stefan. On Maleficent's 16th birthday, he gives her what he calls a true love's kiss. However, as they grow older, the two grow apart; Stefan's love is overshadowed by ambition, and Maleficent becomes protector of the Moors.
“Once Upon a Time†introduces the yin to Emma Swan's yang in the “Lily†episode, bringing back a childhood friend who had more than a passing connection to the princess. As the daughter of Maleficent, she houses Emma's darkness, but it seems like Emma is doing a pretty good job of bringing back her own.
It's composed of a special kind of flower that only grows out of the graves of fairies called a Tomb Bloom. The flower possesses magical properties. It's mixed with iron, which has been established in the Maleficent films to be a sort of kryptonite for fairies.
In the Disney film Maleficent, the title character reveals early on that iron is lethal to fairies, and that the metal burns them on contact. Fairy-type moves are also less effective than other types of moves against Pokémon of the Steel-type.
Her iconic horns (which Disney artist Marc Davis, who designed Maleficent, says were inspired by the traditional look of the devil, to “frighten everybody half to deathâ€) are present even before Stefan's betrayal.
Physically Maleficent is superior but Id say using her powers, Scarlet Witch can lift far more). (Has shown a wider array of what she can manipulate and control with her abilities). But overall Scarlet Witch is more powerful, even if Maleficent may edge out in some areas.
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil has a PG rating and a runtime of 118 minutes. The rating is due to “intense sequences of fantasy action/violence and brief scary images†and that's accurate.
Cruella is rated PG-13, which means that some material is not suitable for children under the age of 13. For example, it may contain violence, nudity, sensuality, and/or language. Here, the movie contains mostly violence and thematic elements and some brief language, but more about that below.
She is also the second main villain to be a monarch, preceded by King Stefan. Based on her name and the kingdom being called Ulstead, she and Phillip are of Swedish descent. The false story of Maleficent she spreads throughout her kingdom are the events of Sleeping Beauty.
Great Movie but Watch it with Younger KidsSo if your kids get scared easy, wait on this movie. The only things that parents should know about is that there is some scary parts of this movie. But besides that, its an amazing movie with a great message for kids.
